That was my whole point on the Horton thing, they were forwards, that's what I was pointing out.

So far as Weiss and Booth, I just completley disagree with your assessment of them. They haven't been their usual great selves, but they've been far from "pathetic" and whatever else.
Weiss IMO was very bad last night. Booth was better than Weiss by a fair margin but also wasn't his usual self. Weiss had one bad game, oh well, big deal he'll move on and be better tonight. They haven't been their usual selves lately, correct, but Booth is getting a lot of attention from the other teams. He's also just missing, but hes often just missing on pulling off great moves. They'll recover, I'm not worried.

He also undressed some guys in the Nashville game. His shot is obviously still there, as he proved to himself in the shootout last night. I feel like he's about to turn the corner.
he's turned the corner. he's been much much better since returning and you could see last night what's been building up. i guess what i'm trying to say is that the effort is there and has been there (even 4 games ago when you guys said it wasn't).

ok, and that was pretty much a foregone conclusion, right? so then.... why'd he fight him at all!?!

I totally agree with you as far as watching Horton over the past few games has gone. He's been hustling, making plays, making moves, and actually throwing the body around. It's great and I expect that if we win tonight, he plays a big role in it. Tampa is going to once again come out and play a very physical game against us. If bad teams play physical, that's how they can beat teams that are better than then. Horton excels in those games generally, so hopefully he can start showing up on the scoresheet. Even if he hasn't been, as long as he's showing this effort, you know it'll come.

Scratch my prediction from earlier, I want us to win in OT/shootout. Tampa's not a playoff contender and we want to keep them from grabbing another top pick, turning them into another Pittsburgh, only in our conference.

Hmm, just thinking about Crosby, Ovechkin and Malkin being drafted, could you imagine if either Pittsburgh or Washington got both Ovy and Malkin/Crosby? Two of the best players in the world playing their natural positions on the same line... it'd be scary what Ovy would look like with Crosby feeding him, especially if it was in our division.

According to GR's blog, Vokoun is getting the start tonight. Also Cullimore and Stewart are tonight's scratches

I have the Lightning feed for Center Ice and they said Vokoun is back in tonight. I think maybe Deboer was sitting Vokoun in the 3rd last night with the intention of playing him again tonight. I don't really think it mattered how last night's game turned out.

Looks like Boynton has quite the shiner from one of last night's scraps. Here's hoping he returns the favor.

Man, "The Chief" is a moron. Can't believe the blinders the refs have where they called Tampa for cross-checking but ignored the Panthers doing the same thing.

Cue the replay...

Which Panther was it again? Hope was talking about an earlier play, for his sake.

Edit: and how hard it is to pronounce "Boynton?"

Yay, goal.

Tampa is just hitting the crap out of us and we are doing nothing to answer it. Everyone just standing around on that shift.

1-0 Tampa

Yet, we get two powerplay opportunities and our 28th ranked powerplay can't do anything helpful.

Let's see if Tampa knows how to capitalize on PP opportunities.

Why does Artyuhkin look like Wayne Gretzky against us?

it should be 3 or 4 nothing already, Vokoun is the least of the worries. The rest of the team looks like absolute ****.
