Damn. The Canucks played great but you guys shut it down when you had to. One of the most entertaining games I have watched in a while, Carter is such a stud...

Question.

Why was Scott Hartnell sitting at our blue line 3 or 4 times?

Termed upper body. Vancouver announcers seem to think shoulder. Nothing specific has been announced other than what was on the Flyers' site which is now a thread here.

Gagne is injured. There is an existing thread. Richards and Giroux looked good. Richards played the role of captain perfectly in the early stages of the game.

Edit:

Quote from Richards after the game from Philly.com:
Quote:

"He hit Gaggy. I kind of saw it out of the corner of my eye. I felt it was kind of a cheap hit, a late hit and from behind," Richards said. "So I felt I had to do something about it. I thought it was a hit that should have been a penalty and there wasn't a call. So I think you kind of have to address it in a way that you don't want to but you have to."

It's either because he's playing with a broken toe, and is laboring just to skate, or your team just sucks at life. I can't remember which.

Bieksa was everywhere, blocked several shots, had a few take-aways and was flying through the neutral zone throughout the game.

His hit was definitely dirty, no one is denying that. He backed it up though (LOL at those who say he isn't tough) and went at it with Richards, a fight which most would probably give to him - not sure where all this Philly hatred towards him is coming from. He'd look pretty damn good on Philly's 2nd pairing imo.

In any case, this was a great game, it's a shame we don't play each other more.

Asham is listed as a healthy scratch for this game, if so Kalinski subbed for him. Kalinski scored.

This is link to Vancouver's post-game radio feed: http://www.team1040.ca/player/

Sanford is out 1-2 weeks.

Replay's on now, gagne's injury should be on in about 3 or 4 minutes.

He got bumped up to Richards' line when Gagne was injured. Looked really good out there. Maybe the best I have seen him in his limited NHL experience.

watching the replay of the game right now on csn.

that could have been 3 penalties in 1.

Could have been interference, boarding, he was about 2 feet from the boards, and a check from behind. ***** ****ing ridiculous none of it was called.

HAHAH and how the **** was there no interference on Hartnell. This league really is a ****ing joke

He was removed after the first period. Apparently, he has back spasms and it is something that has affected him earlier this season.

Bieksa could've played great (I wasn't able to watch the game), but it's a bit unnerving that they would consider him for the star after a dirty hit. I don't care if you have a hat trick, you shouldn't be honored if you don't play fair.
