BTW, it's bad enough that San Jose is threatening the Habs point record, but Boston is too. Both teams are approaching the halfway mark with a combined 9 losses. It's sick how well they both dominate. But I draw parallels between this season and 1971 when the best Bruins season of all time went down the drain in the opening round thanks to Dryden. Oh well, at least they're crushing the Pens tonight, doing us a favour because we're not catching them. We'd need them to somehow lose 7 straight and us win 7 straight to pass them!
Neither team will break the record. They are on pace to barely break the record (Boston is actually on pace to tie it) and every team eventually has a losing streak.
Detroit was well on pace to break it for a long time last year and they had a losing streak eventually.
