Price's celebration is certainly a response to Prospal, we've never seen Carey act that way before. As for Gui, it could have been a response too, but I doubt it, he's pumped his fist before.

Regardless of Prospal being pushed to the ice, you need to admit his celebration was a little much. Kind of like the Flyers laughing at the Habs in the playoffs last year and Kosto punched one.

In all this thread, what's so shocking is that I didn't even know the Bolts had a fan (lecavayeah, or whatever his name is) on one of the boards. Fortunately for this sad sack franchise, Habfan filled half the joint up. Canadian cash to help another welfare franchise.

He's also been pretty damn consistent this year. He's played in 25 games this year and if you break it down into 5 game splits, here's what you get:

Games 1-5: W-3 L-1 OTL-1 0.931sv%
Games 6-10: W-4 L-1 OTL-0 0.920sv%
Games 11-15: W-2 L-2 OTL-1 0.911sv%
Games 16-20: W-4 L-1 OTL-0 0.915sv%
Games 21-25: W-3 L-0 OTL-2 0.930sv%

His average highs aren't out of this world, but his average lows are still more than decent.
Beautiful, thanks for that Genghis! It's encouraging to see those numbers, rather than, say, .960 followed by .840 followed by .940.

Guys look at the 3 stars selection.... what the hell is that? we get the 3rd star and thats it? I was just shocked when I saw that because if they only want to give us one of the 3 stars(even though we won) they should at least give us the 2nd star or something.

What the hell did Malone do to deserve 2nd star anyways?

He had to wear the most hideous oufit in the league for the whole game.

what i'd like someone to dig up, because i'm too lazy, is the numbers of all the greats at his age.

I'm much more inclined to believe Price's celebration has more to do with an inside between him and Georges. And you think that Lats thought even a fraction of a second about this after he scored...well...great.

If Prospal didn't get pushed down the celebration would have been totally normal. Je got pushed down and was sniping around on his knees. And the guy was just relieved. Why use the simple probable explanation if it makes sense uh?

Well, Price was mocking Malone, so they felt bad for him...

I thought we were outplayed by Tampa most of the game. I might have given a star to Artyukhin cause I really noticed him tonight.

Some just can't be happy when the team wins. They need to find every little thing to nit-pick regardless of the outcome. This time, it's a pose...

I agree with you, i dont think that Price or Lats were responding to the cup clinching celebration by Prospal. Even if he was pushed on his knees he continued to celebrate for a couple of seconds.

No joke. The pose and Prospal reaction are non events.

The real negative comments we can make tonight are about the PP.
God it was painful to watch. 0 in 7 and probably no scoring chance in the last 5.

We're playing 0.750 for the season basically.

21-9-6

Could be turned into....

24-12

0.750

Interesting idea, but if you're going to use that method, you should factor our OT wins into the ".500 pile" as well.

I don't like showboating of any kind. I don't care if it's in retaliation...chalk it up to immaturity....hopefully it won't become a habit.

Everyone must be boring in your hockey world eh?

Maybe Price should have told Vinny he did a good job but better luck next time?
