It looks like the Cats are working hard on getting themselves back into the Tavares sweepstakes.

Do what you like, but his role on the Coyotes is different than what he did here last year, and he has less powerplay goals this year. As to last year, he saved that powerplay many times with some good shots, and nobody on the Panthers is doing that right now. As to how good they should be, I think they could definitely be better.

How is Matthias, who pouts in the AHL, in the lineup over Zednik, who at least works hard even if he doesn't produce.

ALso, we look pathetic and Skrastins sure is having a bad game today. He's been right there screwing up on 2 or all 3, idk.
When does Frolik get to play with Horton????

Maybe then we'd have some consistent hope to score goals and take Greg Campbell out of a top 6 forward spot.

Maybe when Campbell and DeBoer break up.

As a rookie coach he is learning politics of NHL, in juniors you can play anybody you like.

Hell, take everyone except Booth out of the top 6 and they couldn't be too much worse at scoring.

this team is just not executing in any area right now. they aren't winning battles on the forecheck, the backpressure isn't strong, defense isn't strong, decision making isn't great and, certainly, goaltending isn't good.

*sigh*

the confidence we saw every night 2 weeks ago is gone. when they do battle, they aren't getting rewarded and it seems that might be killing morale. this is pretty much what we feared we'd see when the team got healthy - the same group that just doesn't have the collective will or confidence to win or keep their nose to the grindstone when things aren't going their way. that's at least what i'm seeing today.

Agreed. There is too much thinking going on out there.

Time for another wake up call, I guess. Perhaps Belak being moved had little to do with it and more that guys like Horton and Zednik were out? Dunno, but this is ridiculous. Team doesn't win with them in the lineup.

It seems a little superstitious, but I'll buy it after watching this team flounder about for so many years.

Well that period wins one of the all-time stinker awards .. I can't think of one good play that entire period by the Panthers. they were chasing, couldn't keep puck control and I think I even counted a couple times that guys tripped over the red line.

Horton actually got a shot off. I don't know if he hit the net, but that's gotta count for something in his checkbook.

Agreed. Only one of those goals Vokoun should have stopped, the other 2 chances shouldn't have happened.

Campbell had to finish that chance too, nice save though.

why is frolik the only one who actually grinds and fights for pucks. also, campbell should have buried on that SH opportunity. I knew we were going to lose today....once this team gets in slumps, it only gets worse.

If nothing else, we have some pretty solid assets to move come the trade deadline. Bouw, Boynton, Skrastins, Anderson, Cullimore, maybe Horton, Zednik, Dvorak, Peltonen.
