Which team would win? World Juniors or Spengler

So I was flipping around the sport channels and I was wondering this:

Who would win a game between one nation's World Junior team and their Spengler Cup team?

The up and comers vs. the has been/never was...

I'll take Taveres and Hodgson over Byron Ritchie and Brad Isbister right now.

World Juniors would blow the Spenglers out of the water.

Elite prospects >>> over the hill vets.

I dunno if it's as clear cut as some people make it out to be. These are experienced, fully grown men. I went with the spengler cup team.

What's next, the WJC team vs the Red Wings. Spengler Cup team would destroy a team full of kids.

To put it in context, from russian WJC team only Filatov and perhaps Goncharov would even be a regular on Dynamo's roster (winner of Spengler cup). Dynamo would annihilate Russian WJC team 15-0.

Spengler cup teal will kill a team like Czech or Germany.

But if its Team CAnada, I think they will win.

So lets say your talking team Canada here, (best world junior team)

A bunch of future NHLers vs a a team with a handful of ex NHLers.

Plus if we used the 11 eligible players that are playing in teh NHL right now, it be much stronger.

Depends. I would guess that an Spengler Cup team could probably out-muscle a Juniors team.

Spengler Cup team. Pretty easily.

The swiss U20 national Team played 2-2 against the U.S. team some years ago at the WJC and they are losing against teams from the minor league of the highest one in Switzerland... That says everything.

I'd put money on the men over the boys. It would be very interesting to see the result though, it could go either way.

Canada's Spengler Cup team would easily beat Canada's World Junior team. They played a close game against a team from the KHL, who would kill any junior team if they were matched up. I have no doubt the Spengler Cup team could handily beat the CIS teams that the juniors routinely lose to.

The Spengler Cup team would probably win. Let's not forget some of the players on that team were once upon a time sparkling NHL prospects, and also, on any given WJC team, there will be a number of NHL busts who probably won't be good enough for a Spengler Cup tournament when they're older.

If the WJ team could use the players currently playing in the NHL I`d go with them I think. If it was the 2005 WJ team I`d also go with the WJs
