If it's either dump & chase or Kostitsyn bros trying to stickhandle to the very end themselves, I'd go with d&c.

How hard can it be to release the puck a second earlier instead of trying to make one more nifty move with the puck prior to passing?

Ok let's not start this crap again.

In all honesty, I can't see Carter producing as much in Montreal.

we did call up Weber but they figured he would help us on the PP from the press box and they obviously believe that Brisebois is better at the point than him.

Even if the team in front of him sucks but Halak should make all the save, the difficult save to keep the team in the game, thats his job. Its easy to make the routine save but a good goalie have to make the KEY save and Halak fails to do that. Halak cant play when the pressure is on him.

And Parise, Getzlaf, Richards, and Perry.. I believe 2003 draft was Andre Savard's last one as Gainey had only been introduced weeks earlier. I know Andrei had 26 last year, but is it too much to ask for some consistency. Still, we do a poor job at constructing team chemistry and I bet you if Andrei had been a Flyer pick and not Carter, he might be the 40 goal man he was supposed to be when we drafted him. It comes down to our inability to land big FAs but also our drafting work seems to churn out quantity more than quality. A few good players<<<Great impact player.

Each time he started producing, he would eventually go back to Kovalev's line or see his line being broken up. He never was on his good wing in Montreal except when the CAT line was formed. All these lil things are not helping him. If you trade him, you'll most likely see another Semin blossoming, be patient for ****'s sake.

Carter would show up everynight and actually give a **** in all zones.

If Andrei put in the effort that Ovechkin does, he would be a dominant player. He doesn't do anything and floats around.

Exactly, Andrei is being poorly managed, he's supposed to be your next star after Kovalev, but he's still being treated like a ******* rookie.

McLeans shot was not difficult, it was a save my Bantam goalie son would have made, stick between the legs on the ice, it's pretty simple really ! Halak just sucks right now, give Denis a chance. i couldn't give a rats ass about Halaks confidence, pull him now. Carbo is such a stubborn b-turd, keep playing Breezby also, he is just getting better with time !

I was really hoping he would play today.
I just don't get it.
PP is an obvious problem and has to be fixed...or at least something has to be tried. There is no adjustment at all..they're just hoping it will magically start working again. It just won't happen.

Not only the PP does not generate goals but it does not generate scoring chances...heck it does not generate SOG.

How much longer for him to declare his presence?

All the other guys in his draft missed the memo where it said that one must limp around before he could walk. Look, most of them are already running.

So what, he would be a 2nd line player and fans would still cry and envy Kostitsyn who would be an important player for the Flyers, cut the crap you know he would be blossoming on the flyers, they are probably the best farm for offensive players. Sharp is a recent example.

I agree. But I expect Plekanec to be a wimp, he has been all year and this is the way Kovalev plays for the most part, he'll come back with scoring chances.

The problem I have with Andrei is that he had a very good season last year and this was supposed to be his breakthrough as a great player. But he just isn't consistent/ He comes from Belarus where people would kill to have his opportuntiy to play and make millions, he needs to at least do it for them if not for himself. It's really disappointing.

Why the hell isn't Weber playing, call up the guy so he can go cold in the pressbox? Not to get a hate on, but we finally get start setting up our measly PP and Breezer flubs it. Thought it to be pretty obvious after the NJ game he shouldn't have been playing today. Weber should have and it's obvious who the odd man out should have been.
meh

Players have deliberately been pushing the net off with regularity lately- noticing it a lot against us however still rarely if ever called, too bad Lapierre's wasn't deliberate this time.
