This one will snag us a win hopefully. Let's go Avs.

Also, what the hell are you doing up at this time? Cleric I can understand (good job changing your name back, btw!), but chiav? Then again, I'm worse than all of you with the Eastern Time zone and all... Whatever.

I'm used to getting up at 3 AM (Central) for my job...there are days on the weekend I can barely make it past that...today is one of those days

3 AM!?

Broadcast crew? Just a guess. Oh well, back to Avalanche hockey! Hopefully the Wolski experiment succeeds.

Yet another game in which the Avs get a break, and play a team that played (and traveled) the night before - in this case, an OT game no less. Let's hope they can take advantage of it.

Lemaire is going to eat us alive. He is going to win the coaching battle tonight. Granato is gonna try and match Lappy vs Koivu, Lemaire will be trying to get Koivu out against Wolly or Hensick. Even though we get last change, I bet Lemaire wins the battle.

edit - Forgot about Arnason. God help us if he gets Koivu out against Arnason.

He always does. Even with last change I wouldn't be surprised to see Arnason opposite him for half the night.

Would you guys play Guite over Arnason tonight?

God, 0 goals in 27 games. Can you believe he lead the Blackhawks with 55 points (22g, 33a) in 2004? That was not a great team either, aside from Bell, Sullivan and Ruutu.

Yes. Guite is a better defensive forward and he isn't afraid of the front of the net. Minnesota isn't the most offensive team in the league but their speed has given us many problems over the past few seasons, especially Koivu.

OMG.

McNab didn't just say that. Tell me he didn't just say that. "Hejduk is one of the best defensive forwards in the NHL". I was busy cleaning up my basement, putting the Xmas stuff away, but I heard it. I'm sure I did.

Homerism is one thing. Having no shame is another.

Meh, someone has to blindly love this team to look over the mistakes, I certainly am not.

I think Granato will give Wolski as much of a chance on the top line as he gave to Arnason. Quenneville would have changed the lines every shift and have the team so confused that they would probably end up in the wrong locker room during the intermission.

I think Granato actually recognizes that it takes a few games for chemistry to really show, and he gave Arnason a few games to prove himself. Arnason didn't prove himself on that top line, out he goes, in comes Wolski. I'd be really surprised if he doesn't keep this new line together for at least four games.
