Sharks @ Flames - 8:00pm MT - SNET-W & the Fan 960

Quote:
With his next win, which would be his 169th in a Flames uniform, Miikka Kiprusoff will move ahead of Daniel Bouchard and into sole possession of second place on the club’s all-time list. Mike Vernon (262) is No. 1.

Quote:
Sharks expect to have D Douglas Murray back from sick bay. Policeman Jody Shelley remains sidelined with an unspecified ailment. C Torrey Mitchell (leg) and C Jeremy Roenick (shoulder) are also ailing . . . D Jim Vandermeer, C Wayne Primeau and LW Brandon Prust remain on the Flames’ injury list.

It's hard to be optimistic about this one, but here's hoping the home team can pull off a win.

Go Flames!

Yet optimism is what we must all have.

This is a big game for us to regain that confidence lost last time these teams met. If we can win today I think it will get a big monkey off the back of this team.

That being said I hope for a 3-2 victory tonight.

Naw, one can always be optimistic. Look I'll give it a try. The Sharks are 1-4 in their last 5 road games how is that impressive! Not only that SR the losses were against really some weaker teams too, Columbus, Minnesota (pathetic) and St. Louis all in OT. Sure this will be a tough game the Sharks are the rested team and haven't played since Saturday, and our Flames played both Saturday and Sunday. Though has not this team shown us to be much better the second time they play a team? The answer is yes.

Huge game tonight and is a measuring stick to really see if the flames have improved. Need to eventually start winning against the top teams in the league and tonight would be a good night to start. San Jose has struggled lately and the flames need to take advantage of that. I'm feeling pretty good about the game tonight. Here's hoping the flames can get the two points.

Go Flames Go.

This will definitely be a tough one... but wouldnt it be nice if we beat the Sharks. Thanks to the last game we played them the team has taken a major turn and it would only be icing on the cake if we now came around to beat them. But because that would just be so darn nice... Im afraid to wish for that outcome too much.

Light them up Flames!!! Flame broiled Shark fin is on the menu for tonight... I hope.

I wish we had Nolan back for this game. Ahh well looks like Berts gonna have to get us the hattrick tonight instead.

Staying out of the box will be imperative in the Flames success against the Sharks tonight.

Is there another site where most flames fans go online instead of hf boards?

Yeah we have a small crew on HF, but in many ways I prefer that to the drama that can happen on Calpuck.

4-2 Flames. I think the team more than as it in them to give it to San Jose. SJ was the team that creamed the Flames which led to a conversion on the way to Damascus.... Now the Flames have lots to prove to both San Jose and themselves. I am optimistic on this one...

CalPuck IMO is a joke because great voices cannot be heard because its just one big popularity contest

Sportsnet forums has a pretty good amount of Flame fans as well.

On topic, I hope Flames can get a victory here. We can't afford to take lots of penalties though. We have to keep skating. Skate hard and don't take lazy penalties. That should be one of our keys to the game. Then getting lots of traffic in front of Nabokov too.

I also hope the Flames come out to play on this one.

So far, so good. I'm just hoping they keep it up.
