The way Weekes can play the Devils, I had expected we would see Irbe last night. Weekes was solid for the most part last night. I wonder if Irbe will play tonight instead.

How'd that date go, btw? We want details, man!

Anyhoot, I'm here I'm also going to watch HNIC, like I always do.

My prediction for tonight: since the guys blew their wad last night, how much do they have in the tank? Will they be "up" for it again or will take take a nap? Nice innuendo, there.

I thought Ward was cleared to play.

Defensive breakdown already. Wow, Madden had until I made breakfast to shoot that.

My prediction looks like it will be what I think it will be.

Haha. "Date night" was renting a video and she fell asleep about an hour in. She's on the phone with her sister tonight, so I should be free for the whole game.

Not off to a promising start so far.

Cheering for Buffalo I hope. I dunno, Bruins-Thrashers might be the way to go.

Stevenson v. Boulerice. When was the last time the Bull lost a fight? How many fights in 2004 so far? 4?

What truly pisses me off is that I went to bed early because I didn't feel like watching hockey (and the fact I damaged 2 CPUs accidently yesterday). I deemed Ottawa - Phi to be boring. Boy, I hate it when I'm wrong.

Huge PP coming up. We go into the dressing room to think about 2-0 and it's lights out. The 'Canes are much better at giving up 2 goal leads than overcoming 2 goal deficits.

Cole is a horrible passer. I've noticed he telegraphs it alot, or he is content on cycling it down low (like Vasicek did last season). I'm still surprised he sees the power play time he sees.

Holy crap, 3-0 Sabres in the first. You were righ WH16, HNIC it is. Besides, Coaches Corner is always good for a laugh.

Rafalski's 35th point had me wondering how many D have equal to or more points than our leading scorer. Would you believe 20?! Sad. Just sad.

I just wanted to add something before I forget. I have a feeling O'Neill will end up in Dallas. I feel Hicks can be had if the price is right. Maybe some sort of package for Trevor Daley. If we are lucky.

If so, who do you like coming the other way? If he has to go, Dalas is a perfect spot. It's not Toronto or Boston and doesn't really affect my life in anyway.

Back to the game at hand, I say what the Hell, let's throw Irbe in there. Maybe it will give the crowd and the team a little spark.

Daley is all I want

Anyhoot, did you watch Coach's Corner? I didn't know Sturm broke his leg....that looked horrendous. Ouch! And I forgot about ol' Pat Peake. The NHL need to go to no-tag icing...makes me wonder if these owners actually give a damn about players' health.

Good CC tonight. After showing a highlight package of about 20 guys getting hurt from races for icing, it blows the mind that the NHL hasn't put no-touch icing in place.

Don Cherry was talking about how guys are afraid when they come down on Marchment because he is tough and is a "killer". Career killer maybe. The only thing guys are afraid of is getting their knees blown out.

Also showed about 10 seconds of one brawl in the Ottawa-Philly game. These two teams have to meet in the play-offs.

Alright, 3 down and Tripper is enough for me to call it quits. I'll probably check out the hotstove, but I have a long day of work ahead tomorrow, so I'm done. Later.

oneill and hill mentioned on the hot stove between periods - nothing new. a bunch of teams interested but carolina wont give them up for cheap. nothing we havent heard before. im not sure ive seen trevor daley enough to comment on the oneill to dallas scenario - i know they dont have a lot of propsects to offer.
