Wow, what a depressing but truthful comment.
Still, your team is better than ours.

Win-win!
I think this is my middle ground. I will hope for them to win but be resigned and not depressed if they lose.

Those were good times. Truth be told, I secretly liked those Sabres, even though they were our rivals. After they beat us in 2006, I was rooting for them to win the East. Stupid Canes.

I miss the rivalry. As much as the hate thing gets played up, there's nothing like a little drama behind the games to make them more meaningful and even after last game's events, everything is sort of superceded by "whatever, neither of us are in contention anymore anyhow." It's amusing and sad that at this point you can't deny that at the end of the day, we both missed our cup windows. Sniff.
Whatever, let's hope something scandalous happens tonight.

Except for waterfall proximity I suppose.

Derek Roy is still a diving, sneaky little punk.
Hoping we can get some magic on the run here, 4-3 Senators in regulation.

As long as he scores a few goals while he is at it.

Ottawa wins 3-1 on goals from Donovan and Fisher. Auld gets an empty netter.

But he's a local boy! I'm surprised Murray hasn't lined up Roy, Savard and Aucoin.

Usually I would know ahead of time if there was a Sens game, now I could care less.

Me too, and as we are falling in the standings, I'm rooting for the Sabres to make the playoffs instead of Pittsburgh.

I'm confused.
Is this "Strategic Setting of Expectations" NyQuil, or "Suckage Acceptance" NyQuil?

I'm actually pulling for a tank at this point.
I firmly believe it is in the best interest of the team, provided people like myself still go to the games for the rest of the season. (Yay for having already bought the tickets)
