WOOT! Thanks! I like that description about him. Reminds me of a younger Alfredsson who also plays like a warrior adn never gives up.

Does he have good offensive instincts as well?

Does anyone know why Sweden will not be participating at Lake Placid this summer as they have in other years?

Ivan Hlinka is for the u18 team. The team that usually plays in Lake Placid is the u20 team.

I'm hoping for a Möller solution, Mårts promise Tampa that Hedman will be captain and they let's him go for the added experience of leading his country to a gold medal.
Yes but the LA Kings were mighty upset over the mistreatment of Moller, by the Swedish braintrust , or lack thereof It was well known that he was playing hurt during later stages of WJC's. He returned to LA with a cracked collarbone ( if I'm not mistaken ? ) which the Swedish coaches/ trainers et al. hadn't even bothered to get x-rayed !?!

You put a young players' career at risk, shortsightedly and for selfish reasons, & NHL GM's will be understandably reticent to release U20's for future WJC's. Last year Canada was missing EIGHT of its u20 NHLers. Welcome to the club Tre Kronors

He probably not have the potential to reach Alfredsson's caliber, but... He has good offensive instincts too; I'd call him a typical two-way guy.

Rödin's good. I'd be very surprised if he doesn't make the WJC team... He has excellent speed, good hands, a pretty accurate shot – and plays a though game, despite his somewhat modest size. NHL potential, no doubt.

Besides the obvious players, I'd like to see Fällström and Rödin crack the line-up. Especially Fällström I think have been overlooked. But it seems he made an impression at camp so hopefully we'll see him in the squad.

Pääjärvi - Lander - Björklund
Tedenby - Josefsson - Petersson
Silfverberg - Kruger - Rödin
Landeskog - Gustafsson - Klingberg
Johansson

I want a bonecrushing 4th line, simple as that.

OEL - Larsson
Rundblad - Erixon
Karlsson - Urbom
Ekholm

Markström
Nilsson

Do you know where I can find a roster of the US team that scrimmaged Sweden at that camp?

Your roster looks really good. I would switch Kruger and Johansson and put either Myllari or Anton Blomqvist or Adam Larsson as #7 defenseman. They are more physical than Ekholm.

Kruger has been great in that line in team 19, for the moment i simply could not find a spot for Johansson and i don`t want him on the wing or in a checking line. Competition i just mad this year i think we could have 2 teams in the playoffs.

I like Ekholm but Blomqvist looked really good late last season, close call and i might consider a switch

Probably somewhere on Swehockey.se can`t find it now but it was a mix of USHL,WHL and College players no real top names, and i think Sweden won total 27-5 in 3 games. Sweden did not get invited to the Lake placid tournamet this year for some reason, that`s why we had to play a strange mix of descent NA players

I like this team a lot! I would probably put Klingberg with Lander and MPS though and have Mattias Lindstrom taking Klingberg's place on the checking line. This means no room for Bjorklund. I would also make room for William Wallén on this roster. That probably means that either Rodin or Silfverberg has to step aside. If Wallen is fully recovered he is the most clutch player and best powerplay performer on this roster. He is also always phenomenal on Team Sweden and has a lot of experience from playing for Sweden. Then I would, just like the knowledgeble Garl, put a more physical defenseman as no 7.

I have difficulty navigating that site because I don't read Swedish. If you come across it, I'd really appreciate if you could post it. I'm fairly sure that one my favorite team's coaches (Mike Gibbons) was in charge of the team. I'm also fairly sure that BCHL product Garrett Milan was also on the team.

I agree. I tried making a potential roster but it was just too hard with so many to choose from. Finally producing some prospects again!

I was wondering who Kruger was....until I watched the HV71-Djurgardens highlights today. When was the last time a junior scored 5 points in one SEL game? Is there a chance he could play on line 1 or 2 with Josefsson at the WJC?

I think we need to start assuming that Josefson and Kruger will be on the same line.
