Not only that, but with the state of the economy out there, ticket prices have to be lower in order for people to even keep coming to games.

I'm pretty sure they are middle ground when it comes to prices. Lowest in the original six but a little below average.

You can get $15 tickets if you are a college student but I think the cheapest without that deal are $20 if not standing room.

Yeah that isn't TOO cheap, last 3-4 rows in the upper bowl at HP are like 20 bucks i think, not bad seats either.

I feel for the kid. Having a stick, that Zetterberg handed to you personally as he was leaving the Winter Classic - you're gonna show this stick to your kids and tell them the story.

Having a stick that the Red Wings mailed to you after the newspapers enforced it for you (not to mention that Zetterberg has probably never played with it)...that's just NOT the same.

Anyway...he's fourteen. He should have at least argued with that guy (or tell him to **** off).

this +1^

i cant think of any 14 year olds that would be as naive as to give their zetterberg stick to a stranger outside of an arena

but thats a dick move by whoever took it

Depends on the kid how well he can stand up for himself. Some kids are terrified of authority figures and can be easily coerced. Heck, only a couple years ago we were having a huge discussion on a nearly 20 year old Malkin being coerced into signing a contract because people guilted him into it. Oh yeah, and he cried, too. So, I dunno if the story has some element of fabrication, but its certainly feasible.

The kid got the stick back from the guy who (unknowingly) bought it off the thief.

Or maybe he was the thief who had a change of heart.

I don't think a dentist fits the profile of someone who would steal from a kid, but who knows.

A "Game Used" Zetterberg stick for $100 in the bathroom? Something doesn't smell right.

Glad the kid got it back.

We'll see what you do if you're given something that unique and rare and its stolen from you. I can pretty much assure you, anyone on this site who is a true hockey fan that gets something like that and its taken away isn't going to go home going "oh well, ***** happens"

Have you seen how much a dentist charges for an hours worth of work? They will steal from anybody.

I was told on my last visit that I would have some work needed, and that it would take no longer than an hour to complete. Then the bill for 900 dollers showed up.

No. The kid was shown a photo of Pappert and he confirmed it wasn't that guy who took the stick from him.
