Our Whipping Boys Are Doing Well

Our favorite whipping boys are doing pretty well.

Prucha has 4 points (3G+1A) in the last 6 games. Dawes has 8 points in the last 8 games.

Rosie also has 6 points in the last 6 games. Time to end the booing.

True, but it's nice to see this. Rosie has actually been very consistent for us over the years. He started the year injured and people booed him, but he looks like he's back his usual form.

Hopefully either Dawes or Prucha can keep it up.

It's also a shame that Prucha hits harder than most of the team.

Rosie hasnt been booed since the western trip when he play good. What are you talking about?

Fans dont boo players for no reason, he stunk the first half he heard it, hes turned his game around and hes cheered.

Exactly. And when has Prucha been a whipping boy? All he is is Renney's favorite whipping boy.

Rosie has really picked his game up, and just looks a lot more confident out there with Staal. As for Prucha, this is the best he has looked in a long time. The kid has all the heart in the world, and can score some in this league. I really hope for his and the Rangers sake, this is the start of getting his career back on track.

Yea, let's just hope Renney doesn't bench him next game

I said it in the GDT during the Caps game but I'll say it again.

I am one of the biggest Prucha skeptics on the board, but in this latest stint he's been a different player. More involved. Going to the net, playing in the middle of the ice. We haven't seen this guy since the second half of his rookie year.

Now let's see him keep it up.

Yup, right there with you.

I've said he hasn't played with the confidence WITH the puck since his rookie year and got that knee injury. Finally he is playing with it again, he is making moves around players, and going to the middle of the ice with the puck. Past 2 years he would dish it off very fast or just lose the puck when he was pressured.

Im praying he keeps it up...so far so good.

I think Rosie turning his game around, has alot to do with the play of Staal. When you know you have a reliable defensive partner, it allows you to do more things both offensively and defensively

It would be nice if he keeps it up, but Tom also needs to set some lines and leave them alone for a few games. Voros had no clue with Zherdev tonight. Voros should know basic hockey, but Tom needs to work that out in practice and put the best combos out there.

How do you bench someone who just got points in 3 straight games?

If anyone can find a way, Renney will.

I wish the whole team played with the passion and intensity that Prucha plays with. Callahan is the only guy that comes close IMO. Hopefully this stretch of games gives Prucha some confidence. Any scoring this team can get will go a long way at this point.

It makes me laugh how quick people are to rip into Renney for the way he handles our young players. In my opinion, whatever he's done with them has worked. Prucha has responded real well to the scratching, Callahan responded real well to being sent down (last year), Dawes responded real well to being in and out.

From an outsiders perspective it looks terrible, but can you really argue with the results? Being in the locker room and knowing his players better than any of us ever will does mean that he'll do things we don't get, simply because we're not aware of everything he is.

Not when he continues to change lines up every other game, make questionable roster changes(Voros/Korpi the lastest?), play sit back hockey and blow huge leads, not figure out how to coach a PP, not getting his vets playing the way they should(goes back to line changes every other game)........

It will end when hes gone.

I hate Stan Fishler, but listening him to rip into Renney a bit 2 games ago about his non stop line changes was nice to hear.

+2

I thought he was done. He's really shown me something these last few games.

You mean the line changing that resulted in a 4-0 victory?

You mean the line change that resulted in the Drury, Prucha and Dawes combining for 2 goals and 4 assists?

If he changes line combos the ad hoc response is "Stop changing lines!"

If he doesn't its, "Do something! Why isn't XX playing??!!"

It will end when he's gone? Then get comfortable because he can likely miss the playoffs and still keep his job.

And really, you're going to point to Stan Fischler as the voice of reason?
