I have that worry too but he needs it. I wouldn't want him to be thrown into an NHL game after so much time out especially with a lack of a full preseason.

Judging by the highlights on AHL Live, Norfolk vs. Worcester are some nasty games.

It's weird, but Norfolk is our most hated rival. Even the coaches got into it (physically) outside the locker rooms.

Good youtube from last year - line brawl, goalie fight (well not much from Greiss LOL)

I agree. Its probly not the best time to have him sent down but it is a neccesary assignment and the lesser of the 2 evils IMO. We need him to get his legs back asap and conditioning in worcester is the best bet. Imagine throwing him into the Calgary game tonight and even Detroit on Saturday....Not a good idea, so worcester it is.

Man.. its been along time for this kid. I cant wait till he's back in our line-ups!!

For the CBA experts...would Phoenix in the ECHL have been an option for rehab?

Yes, as he's still on his ELS.

I say put Frazer McLaren on Mitchell's line and all will be okay.

The video feed from Norfolk isn't working for me, so I couldn't see it.

Sounded good though.

Mitchell played on a line with Lemieux and McGinn. IMO he was Worcester's best forward tonight. He was flying all over the ice. He scored his goal off a bad rebound given up by McKenna off a McGinn shot I believe. He was a beast on the PK, he probably had more scoring chances by himself on the PK than Norfolk had as a team on the PP.
