Wojtek Wolski
TJ Hensick
Scott Hannan/Ruslan Salei (for cap space)
1st round pick

To Avs:

Vinny Lecavalier
hey, I'll take that for Spezza

The retired refree is Ron Fournier. He's a good buddy of Tocchet who hasn't been paid in a month according to Ron.

To all of you who say that Lecavalier is not going to be moved becaused he justed signed a big extension: Please Wake Up!!!

He was offered security, he took it. I would have done the exact same! Now the ship is sinking in Tampa. Cup contendership is not even on the radar and they are having serious financial problems... oh and not to mention that the arena is almost empty every game!

I think at this point it would be in the best interest of both Vinny and the Lightning to part ways. What good is a big contract if they can't pay you?

I would love to see Lecavalier in Montreal but not if it means we have to empty the team. Price must absolutely stay in Montreal as Komisarek. The rest are pretty much expendable but I see Tampa probably being interested in top prospects like McDonagh, Pacioretty, Weber and Subban.

Time will tell...

only a handful of teams maybe even like 2 teams will get a guy signed for 11 years at a HUGE contract with a lot of $$$

especially with the economy

GM's already say Spezza's contract is long, wait till the see Vinny's

Vinny is not leaving Tampa Bay. Why? Because he LOVES the relative anonymity. He can sneak out to dinner or the market sometimes without being recognized. Not all the time, but sometimes. In any other city, he would be bugged 24/7. Plus, he loves playing w Marty...

This is so many different kinds of craziness, I don't know where to begin...

I don't know which one is stupider, someone believing Tampa will deal Lecavalier, or this classic:

Ron Fournier's an 'effing idiot and doesn't know **** about ****. I'm impressed that you've actually found a worse source than Eklund.

Actually.. he's right on this one. Ron is not connected, he's probably not even as connected as Eklund... to say the least. On the top of it, he's a *********.

Ron is not a good source, think garrioch. Show me a proof of that, and even if it's the case breaking signing few minutes/hours before the official announce, even Eklund can do it, so that's nothing compared to breaking a deal.

We all know isnt going to happen, because from what i read he loves Tampa and is very active in the community and i am sure he has properties or businesses in the area. maybe a Tampa fan could confirm?.

But if he was wanting to leave, like the other Rangers fan i'd offer anything apart from Staal and Lundqvist.

Dubinsky - ($.633k)
Girardi - ($1.55m)
Sanguinetti
Korpikoski - ($1m)
Prucha - ($1.6m)
1st

I dont know how close this would be but the Rangers would have to find a taker for Gomez so they would have the salary to bring Vinny in.

Probably best saving threads like this for the summer though
You have to think they would keep Vinny and pick Hedman.

I don't see Tampa doing it. I think if they were going to trade someone of the like they would trade St. Louis. I also don't see Vinny lifting his NTC because he is pretty happy where he is. There are only like a handful of teams they could deal with. I mean seriously... That is a lot of money for a long time. Sure it is Vincent Lecavalier but this is the salary cap age... Even if say the Kings got him somehow, sure they could pay him for a few years but pretty soon they are trading young talent away because they are at the cap. In this day and age, deals like this are becoming harder and harder. Contracts like his are designed to be signed and stay with that team till it is expired.
