Roszival wears number 3, right? Is he gonna give it up before the Rangers officially retire it for Howell in February?

Yeah, on a team with the 22nd ranked offense and 26th ranked powerplay we sure as hell better get rid of a defenseman on pace for 14 goals

He said when the season began he already knew what number he is going to wear and it turns out that it is last 2 numbers of his social security number

Now there's a pretty solid answer. I think we should trade him for a defenseman who actually plays defense. What a foreign concept...

On graves night after Howell's 3 is raised he is going to walk over to Rosival and rip the 3's off of his sweater, cementing the celebration.

WOW, I didn't realize he was on pace for a whopping 14 goals!!!! Better hang on to him then because if he reaches that projection all those goals will certainly make us one of the most dangerous teams!!! I mean a whole 7 more goals out of one player might move us from 22nd in offense into the top 5 in the league right???? I just forgot that he sucks defensively, turns the puck over, plays soft, takes part of the blame for our ****** PP, and is probably responsible for allowing way more goals than he contributes... because all I can think about is how awesome we're going to be with those 7 more goals from Roszival!!

14 goals * 6 Dmen = 84 goals = 1.02 goals per game from a defenseman. Assuming that average holds of course.

I'd take that

nyr7....

without considering anything else, without Rozsival's 7 goals, the Rangers would have a few less wins because those goals weren't coming from someone else. If you want to knock Rozy, knock his defensive play or something else, not his goal scoring, which is just fine at this point in the season.

Care to take a guess how many defenseman scored more than 14 goals in the entire NHL last season? I'll save you the trip to nhl.com: 6. Green, Phaneuf, Chara, Markov, Burns and Bouwmeester. Rozsival had 13. Elite goal production from that position, and you **** on it like it's nothing. Well done...

Rangers would have had some pretty elite offensive numbers on defense if they signed the Captain of the Swiss National team instead of Redden in the offseason.

Oh well, Rosie shouldn't be traded right now.. but you have to think about it just to get some cap space if a deal comes up.

Yes, you're totally right. Lidstrom too. What the hell is he worth with his 10 goals he scores a year? And that Leetch character? What the hell is he doing with his number retired?

Look, I'm not comparing Rozsival to Leetch or Lidstrom, but 14 goals is an unbelievable accomplishment ESPECIALLY with the joke of an offense and PP the Rangers have. Could you imagine if he was on good offense and PP? If you aren't satisfied with a guy who finished 7th in goals for defensemen last year and is tied for 8th this year then I don't know what to tell you. We're not getting Bobby Orr any time soon.

Anyway, anyone want to guess how many goals separate us from 22nd in the league (bottom 3rd) and 14th in the league (above average)? I'll give you a clue; It rhymes with "shmeven". Similarly, we go from 22nd best offense to 29th best by subtracting Rozsival's goals.

Only on HF would half of a team's fanbase want to trade a defenseman who has finished with 23 combined goals over the last 2 seasons and is on pace for 14 more this year. Just unbelievable. If Dan Girardi was having the same exact season Rozsival has had you'd all be praising him to no end, but since it's Rozsival for whatever reason he's the scapegoat.

And that was mostly first half. He was playing hurt the second half of the year.

no it wont move us to top 5 in the league. But the way we are playing 7 more goals might mean seven games we win instead of lose. And i dont know about you but having an extra 14 points in the standings never hurt anyone.
