I liked what I saw from him in Admirals jersey. Sometimes he maybe held on to the puck for too long and lost it, but otherwise he seemed like the most talented guy on that team in the games I saw. Just needs experience. In my opinion, of course...

Good for him that he got called up, but too bad for the Admirals. They were really on a roll and now both Jones and Santorelli called up, it's a big blow to the team, especially their PP...

Hallelujah! Hopefully he gets at least 10 games (haha, I know, unlikely) before Trotz sends him back down or relegates him to 4th line/8 minutes TOI.

There are so many great candidates to sit that this question may cause a head explosion in management.

I think you move Legwand down a line and sit one of Bonk, Fiddler, Smithson, Peverly.

I would play Santorelli on the wing and GET FIDDLER OUT OF THE TOP SIX.

To clear up the confusion, is this Mike or Mark Santorelli that is getting called up? Is this the older or the younger Santorelli? Is this the guy who led the WHL in scoring or the other one? Which one plays center and which one plays wing?

Thanks in advance and sorry for the rapid-fire questions.

Mike is called up and is the older of the two, plays center. Mark has barely played any AHL games at this moment.

There has been no official announcement from the AHL or the Admirals.

So we think they're waiting out a waiver period, since this puts the Preds one over the roster limit.

Assuming the player was put on waivers yesterday in advance of the Santorelli call-up, the waiver claim would expire at Noon EST today.
================================================== =====================
Update 10:03 am: I guess this is not the case, after all. The Preds have just been trying to craft a press release. According to an official on the Admirals staff, they aren't going to put anyone on waivers or send anyone down until they activate Sully. I had assumed that already happened, since he was practicing with the team. Sorry about that.

ShortShifts-

I know on 12/22 you said that Santorelli was centering Jones and Ortmeyer, but the lines were shuffled for that game. Who has he been playing with this season - most recently and any long-term connections thus far that might be of note?

Thanks!

The first dozen or so games after Jones and Hornqvist were sent down, Santorelli and Jones were paired together. (Usually with Kelsey Wilson on the other wing)

The last week of December, Coach Lambert shuffled things up a bit again...and Santorelli was playing with Hornqvist and Ortmeyer.

Jones was playing with Cal O'Reilly and Hugh Jessiman.

But Santorelli and Jones played quite a bit together while they were down here....with good results. In fact, Santorelli's 14 game point streak came while playing on a line with Jones.

Probably, although as AdsSS mentioned, both seemed to play alot better when on the same line. Hopefully Trotz gives it a shot anyway

Also - we officially apoligze for the unfortunate acronym created by our name. It was an oversight by the marketing department.
