Looking forward to seeing Mason again. He's the real deal for those of you who haven't had a chance to see him.

Mason is reportedly now questionable with upper body tightness. LaCosta is the backup with Leclaire recently put on IR.

It's weird. I saw him for London a couple years ago and I wasn't particularly impressed. He got housed by Plymouth on multiple occasions. But watching him on tv this season, he's made MASSIVE progress.

I was hoping to see Mason as well; the caps could use a rematch from the shutout he dished last time.

Sweet, the messiah is apparently injured.

I mean... not to be a jerk or anything, but well... yeah.

Here's the link:

If it helps, my fantasy clubs can't afford it, but it might be good for the Caps.

Disappointing, agreed with the crew that was hoping to watch him tonight.

That said, it will be interesting to see how Columbus responds - they already seem to be leveled by injury, this can't help a bit.

CBJ Spontaneous Podcast regarding Mason injury. Man.. those guys sound depressed. "If they get 7 points in the next 7 games, they'll still be in playoff contention. But otherwise..." I hope things turn around for the jackets.... after tonight

I always wonder about this. Is there a player you would rather watch beat your team than have him miss the game you are attending?

different topic, I never consider a blow out as possible. Surely not against Hitch and his trap. Particularly without Nash in the lineup. Hitchcock is going to have them playing a 1-4 all night tonight.

my feeling about tonight is that fedorov is looking to light them up. one will probably be enough.

I suspect that we're all wincing a bit because he has been a fantasy hockey Titan this year, particularly in waiver wire terms.

As for the Caps, if he doesn't play it's a good thing all the way.

I know my feelings are a bit mixed for this reason. I'd also kind of like to get a look at him play... though not so much that I want to see him stone the Caps for 60 minutes.

Dunno...I always like to see the stars the other teams have to offer. Guess that's the pure hockey fan in me. Besides, it's so rare to see such a young keeper do well at this level. I've really enjoyed the 5 or so games I've seen him play.

I'll be happy if the old codger can make it through a game healthy.

I'll be happy if he plays 10 games without getting re-injured. Last time he came back for 4 or 5 games before getting hurt.

5-2 Caps. Just ****ing win.

Been checking in the last few GDT's you guys put together wondering if I'd see Feds in the line-up, lo and behold, here he is! Btw, is he fully recovered? I'd hate to see him re-injure himself.

Now with Mason and Nash out, I don't see how they can pull this off. Mason was extraordinary in the loss against the Wings, this is a huge blow to them (as I'm sure everyone knows by now).

Good luck tonight!

If Fedorov is back, that means he's healthy.

The logic being that the caps are doing well without him, and to put him back when he is not ready would be stupid.

Therefore, he's ready 100%.

End communication... hehe

The advantage of the Center Ice Package is that I can watch Iginla light up Edmonton or Mason shutout Detroit...not the Caps.

On the hand when the big stars like Iginla come to Washington and the Caps totally shut them down, is that what you wanted to see?

Its like somebody paying to see Ovechkin and then hoping he scores three and their team wins 4-3. Its more like he scores and burns your team OR your team wins by shutting him down.

The Caps have won enough games with half the lineup out for me to ignore any injury report by an opponent.
