Nope. Not sure who it was. He's okay though, had an ice pack on it, but took his next shift. Still though, the guy's a magnet for things like this and it's funny/sad to see it followed him to St.Louis.

More like bad luck on that one. Nice to see him back on the ice, didn't seem to miss a shift.

7 shifts, and a little over 4 minutes in ice-time for Sundin in the first period. The talent is definitely still there with him, he can keep up with everyone, but just needs to get his timing up to speed.

If I was the organist/musicologist? I would play Born Under a Bad Sign everytime that kid stepped onto the ice.

His skating is weird right now. He always seems to be going the opposite direction on the ice that everyone else is going. Still not great with his stick (can't get his stick on the puck). A poor change by Sundin and his linemates just cost the Nucks and tied the game.
Woop, Steen just scored now.

Steen scores to put the Blues up 3-2 before the end of the 2nd.

And what's with Sundin's helmet?

Haha what a home debut. Silly silly penalty with only 3 minutes left in the game.

What a great game for Mats .. Sloppy line change in 2nd and Blues score, weak defensive play in his own end and Blues score .. Sundin takes a stupid penalty and Blues score .. No shots, No points .. What a pathetic display in his first home game with his new favourite team for Mr. Rental player of the year.

Last place Blues beat the Nucks with the Mighty Sundin on board and Leafs move two points closer to the draft lottery.

Thanks Mats ..

I would also like to thank Mats for his horrific effort tonight for two reasons: 1) horrific line change that allowed the Blues to tie the game in the 2nd and 2) taking a really dumb penalty that allowed the Blues to win the game.

Dammit I was expecting him to get 2 goals and 3 assists in this game

What a bummer

I'm still giving sundin the benefit of the doubt and will give him time to find his legs. However, his short shifting is hurting the team and causing the big swede to be the big invisible. You can't create anything, when you skate in the offensive zone once, then go back to the bench immediately after that.

Yeah, your typical Mats Sundin type of game.

Mats with his 2nd. preseason, tune-up game behind him.

Looked better tonight than his first game, and will most likely look pretty darn good in about 10 days.

How about that .. Who would have thought?.

Sundin's first home game = Brad May first home game

With their new teams.

Sundin appeared to struggle as he went pointless and failed to record a shot for the second straight game''.

''I felt all right, actually,'' said Sundin, who went minus-one on the night.
sounds like we're missing a lot of passion and leadership on this team (not!)
