1-0 in the shootout perhaps?

There's no use in getting a point out of it. I don't mind him allowing a goal in regular time... 35 shots, 34 saves.

It can't be too long now until we waive Gerber. In fact, a couple of good outings by Elliott would be all it might take. Once he clears, I can't see him going to Bingo - not at his age. It's not like he needs the money. Rather, I would expect him to explore opportunities back in the Swiss League, where he will likely finish out his career.

I can even count how many times when a D man: misses blocking a shot, bad pinch or just bad def. coverage only to have Gerber give them the dirtiest look. I wish his teammates give him the same look after he lets in a weak one...

After he single-handedly beat the Rangers last time the teams met, Colin Campbell wanted to give them a chance.

My thoughts exactly....Maybe we could win just one more game, for Elliot....then revert back to sucking.

Uhhhhh what? You can **** on Gerber's play all you want, but hes been nothing less than a team player his entire stint here. Or are you referring to the ONE time get got upset when screened on a goal by Phillips/Volchenkov? Id absolutely LOVE for you to give some examples of Gerber blaming the team for their mistakes, but you'll probably pull them out of thin air just like your statement here.

And for you people actually ROOTING for a Sens loss, don't even turn on and watch the games anymore please.

Intersting post on the Bingo blog today about Elliott starting tonight...

http://www.pressconnects.com/apps/pb...ssconnects.com
Quote:
"You wait and hope for an opportunity like this, and obviously you want the organziation to do well and everything like that, but when you get an opportunity, you've got to take advanatege of it, and that's what I'm going to try and do tonight."
Quote:
Here's Elliott on whether he's been aware of everything going on in Ottawa, and whether he feels the pressure coming in tonight:

"Yes and no. There's obviously a lot of media attention and everything like that, but what everybody says is just, you don't have anything to do with what happened in the past, just come in here and play, and that's all I'm trying to do."
Quote:
And finally, here's Sens captain Daniel Alfredsson on the newcomer:

"He was with us last year and played one game. And today, you could tell, he's very quick. He's a little bit different than the other guys, I had a tough time scoring today. But I think quickness and being in the right position (are) his strengths, obviously."
Quote:
all that was asked of Hartsburg today was whether Auld would back up (yes) and whether the team was set to carry three goalies for now.

His answer: "We're all in this thing day-to-day. So we've got to try to figure out solutions and try to win hockey games, and today's the only day that really matters. The game against the New York Rangers is the only thing that matters."

Why, because I'd like to see them draft high and be competitive for many years with a number one d-man in Hedman?

That quote from H makes me think if Elliott plays well and allows the Sens to win, he wont be going back to Bingo.

Man, that's a very thinly veiled insult to our other two goalies.

"This new kid that was called up? Yeah, I had a lot of trouble scoring on him in practice, unlike every other day of practice when I score 10 at least. This guy is actually good."

Yet another possible explanation as to why the forewards have such lousy shot percentages this year- they score at will in practice and then are stymied when they're confroned with opposition teams goalies.

GO! (insert opposition here) GO!

As long as Elliot looks good in a losing cause.

1-0 is fine
