Let the nonsense begin (Forsberg)

Just mentioned on CBC during the Leafs/Flyers game that Forsberg has quietly let a couple of teams know he's interested in coming back this season and Holmgren has expressed interest.

I'd be very, very surprised if he came back and it wasn't with Colorado. His heart, his penthouse, and his girlfriend are in Denver. No reason for him to go elsewhere.

Bet your life on two things.

1 - The "Why doesn't he just do us all a favor and quit" crowd will be heard from here.

2 - NHL playoff contenders will be very interested.

I guess having the man himself say that basically it's Avs or nothing is not enough to keep people from speculating and believing he'll go elsewhere.

Whatever, to each their own...........

Pretty sure Sakic won't be playing fourth line in favour of Stewart, Jones and Hensick.

Close, but no cigar.

Lucic - Savard - Kessel
Wheeler - Krejci - Ryder
Forsberg - Bergeron - Kobasew
Axelsson - Yelle - Thornton

Lets just have every teams fans insert Forsberg into their lineup and get it out of the way.

He'll be back in Colorado.

Also, Adam Foote spoke to Peter Forsberg a couple weeks ago and asked him (half jokingly) when he was going to come back. Of course Peter didn't give him any answers (he never does) he just laughed, but just the fact that Foote phoned him gives you a pretty good idea where Peter will end up if he does indeed come back.

Yes, but they're all younger than Joe!

That makes them better and more deserving!

Ya, I know. But withe the way Wolski is playing I thought that would be the best 1-2-3-4 punch in the league.

Stastny - Wolski - Foppa - Sakic

Guess Foppa and Sakic should switch but you get the idea.
Its a theory of the best line down the middle, not the particle one.

If Forsberg is 100% healthy I would love him in playoffs.

When was he ever 100%?

95 - 96 season, played all 82 games and had 116 points, career high I believe.
