It was a sneaky play..... away from the action, as time ran out with an empty net.....

I don't understand why teams respect Pronger so much. Send your tough guy out to finish all his checks on Pronger and make him react. You either goad him into a fight or maybe he takes a dumb penalty. So either a PP or your goon and him in the box for 5 minutes, which is a net gain for your team.

It seems like nobody does this. I don't get it.

That was a big-time cheapshot. Parise's head could have injured Pronger's elbow pretty badly. I hope Parise gets at least 6 games for this.

He's a great player, but he has got to stop doing stupid things all of the time. Now this Parise "incident" wasn't so bad, but other stuff he's done has been just foolish.

Edit: I just read the jersey!

Damn helmets are a menace, injuring elbows like that.

More seriously... it was worth a 2 minute penalty. Maybe 5. The fact that it happened at the end of the game is annoying, but nothing will come of it.

Parise deserves to get the Avery treatment on this. I think we might see him in the KHL next year.

To be fair, Parise does have a crazy hard helmet. I think it might be illegal.

Was going to say the same thing... I'm sure they're all pretty friendly off the ice though.

This is just an excuse to bash Pronger some more (probably one of the most hated players in the league).

if someone else did this (like a nobody)...there would be no thread.
i think it has to do with reputation too. if it were chris simon i bet people would have brought it up too

This might be the most ridiculous thing I have ever read on these boards, how exactly is Parise a ******?

Get out the YouTube Police! Chris Pronger elbowed Parise!

No one is condoning it, but...

...born yesterday?

Parise is nails; he got up and is fine. And this is not your little sister's field hockey league.
Hell yeah.

Wasn't a big deal. It was a cheap little ***** move, but Parise was fine, so I could care less

I was at the game.

I saw nothing that demands a thread

(edit)

more threadworthy is

A) How overrated Clemmensen has become
B) How much Giguere sucked
C) How good Ryan is

I thought Giguere played fine. Clemmensen is definitely starting to come down from his high, though.
