Really?

All 3 goals that Giguere left in were weak as hell IMO... he looked shaky the whole game

He's obviously not. What Parise did with his head was dangerous and he should be suspended for it.

It seems like when he plays the team has started to play like crap recently. Point in case today or last week. Going back to 2 goalies like we were going to do in the first place would be best that way the guys don't get complacent in front of the goalie, like we have for years in front of Marty.

I don't think he had a chance on the Holik goal, it deflected in from quite possibly the strangest angle possible. And while the Clarkson goal is one he could have stopped, your defensemen should have railroaded Clarkson to keep him from pushing Giguere's pads. As for Parise's goal, that was just a scrum in front - I'm still not entirely sure how it ended up in the net in the first place.

I don't like the guy but that's not much of anything. Unless you have a man crush on Parise, nothing to be upset about.

I really, really like this comment. That is the best description of the "modern NHL".

As a Devils Fan, ill Say i Don't really think this is suspension worthy, it is a questionable hit, but Pronger won't be serving any games. Parise had his head turned and skating into prngers shoulder. Pronger lifting his elbow made it look dirty.

looked like pronger and parise both didn't see each other but once pronger figured out what was going on, he took the opportunity to extend the elbow

A bit of a push with some forearm shiver? That didn't look like much.

I'm a long time Pronger hater and even I have to say that's nothing. Sure, considering the time left in the game and that Parise couldn't see him coming, you could argue it being dirty-ish, but the contact itself is not that bad and he doesn't deserve suspension.

And considering how the league is about suspending Pronger in worst cases, this one probably won't even be reviewed.

Pronger could have easily avoided him but he didn't, which makes him an ******* but we all already knew that.

That said, not suspension worthy.

Parise's face clearly shouldn't have been that low. If he's not even trying to be of normal size, he can blame himself.

kinda like FLYLine88 & Trottier said (their posts are no longer in the thread for some reason, but you can still see them in quotes): had it been any other player, like Festerling or someone, there wouldn't have even been any thoughts of even making a thread. People just like drama.
