Tippett actually put Niskanen-Grossman out there as a pair when he needed a defensive stop instead of Sydor.
I don't like that rule as it stands now. He just swatted the puck away from in front of the net, without really having a target. And since it was on end or whatever, it went high. I guess they don't want to put intent into the rules too much, but some of those penalties are just silly.
On a happier note, they've managed to save a point
