The only good that will come from this back to back is Therrien getting canned. Realistically, he couldn't survive losing 10 of 11, and falling to 22-23rd in the NHL. Right?
Gotta say its a litte refreshing to hear some humility from the Pens. Im not gonna make any predictions but playing 2 division leading hot teams on back to back nights....that blows.

We've owned them since the beginning of time, and if that changes, it will be the worst thing that could conceivably happen to this franchise at this point (other than missing the playoffs).

First, we'll be slaughtered tomorrow night in Philly.
Good to see this slump hasn't changed your outlook on things too much...

But yeah, this is definitely the makings of a letdown game for the Caps. This is exactly the type of game they'd try to coast through and get embarrassed in.

I don't know why, but I hope Washington slaughters them because apparently they've been playing like a bunch of losers. I usually like the Penguins too.

When the Pens were playing well, Pens fans expected them to win. Now that they've been stinking up the joint, they're expected to lose.

It probably has more to do with how the team's playing that year than any sort of benign epiphany. Like any other team's fanbase.

The Caps have a history of being a cure-all to the Pens.

A Pittsburgh blow-out would not surprise me one bit here.

Yeah. And their tanking for Tavares can survive one "set back" as well, so it's likely they'll want to do it against the Caps.

No, Pens fans have mostly been realists. When we were winning 75% of games we played, we talked of our team as winners. When we haven't won since Bush ducked a shoe, we talk of our team as losers.

Is it in pitt? it would be great if all the fans brought a bongo drum- and every time semin touches the puck 1000's of bongos erupt!

That would be totally epic! Maybe it would piss him off enough to take over the game as well.
