I take out Zetterberg, every day of the week.

He's better defensively, got a Conn Smythe under his belt, I find his offensive skills and attributes more valuable than Hossa's as well. He's also a year younger if thats makes a difference. In addition, as silly as it sounds he fits the team dynamic more. Lets face it Detroit has a buttload of Swedes, and thats the way they like it. If it makes any difference, I also beleive Zetterberg is willing to take less to say with Detroit, than Hossa is.

The only thing Hossa has over Zetterberg in my eyes is his injury history. Zetterberg has had some reoccuring injuries, which is obviously pretty troubling when considering this contract is going to be a long term one.

The Redwings sign Zetterberg over Hossa in an instant. Zetterberg is just more solid overall. What I would do to have him in a Canucks sweater.

I'll remember this, because I'm pretty sure Hossa won't sign in Edmonton.

I have this god awful feeling they'll make room for both of them.

Franzen, Hudler, Sammy will be gone instead.

Call me crazy but I think that on Detroit, Hank(7.5m) + Franzen(5m) + Cap space(3m) > Hank(7.5m) + Hossa(8m).

Yeah it's veeeeery tough but Hank squeaks out by a thin margin defensively for me. I like Hossa's size and prowess though. And his shot!! It's nice to have.

Hossa is a poor fit for this Wings team. Reminds me more of Robert Lang on some nights than the player he was billed to be.

IMHO Hossa is a *slightly* better player, but Hank's history with the organization and likelihood of asking for less $$$ tip the scales his way.

They have to worry about Franzen as well..

I would go with Zett for sure; Detroit has more loyalty then to let him walk before Hossa.

We'd love him back in Pittsburgh. At least you Detroit fans didn't get stuck with Satan like us
