Don't we get cap savings when our players are injured? We have $12+M on injured reserve don't we?
yes but once they come back they are back on the books and against the cap.
Like I said Montreal can swing the Lecavalier deal but to be able to afford Schneider and Lecavalier they will need to find a trading partner for Schneider.
Lang and O'Byrne for Schneider This moves free's up enough cap room to afford Schneider
Higgins Plekanec Gorges and picks and the Dandenault IR demotion to Hamilton or trade free's up enough money to afford Lecavalier.
Personally I don't believe for a second that Lecavalier is Montreal bound, I do see schneider coming and shoring up the D. He'd be perfect on the PP and still has gas left in the tank. He's playing un motivated in Atlanta.
S. Kostitsyn Lecavalier A. Kostitsyn
Tanguay Koivu Kovalev
Latendresse Lapierre Kostopoulos
Pacioretti Chipchura Begin D'Agostini Laraque
Rob Blake with the Sharks is having an amazing year so far he attributes this to playing for a better team, Schneider while a bit different situation is playing for a dreadful hockey team in Atlanta, who knows I wouldn't trust sportsnet but at the same time Schneider would be an upgrade over some guys aswell help our pp.
