I'm pretty sure Osgood got pushed into the net.

The save wasn't as good as the announcing, but that's what good announcers do - they make the game better. I've listened to Razor for years, and it's fun just to listen to what he comes up with next. Largest vocabulary in hockey I'd say.

"Mastodonic"? Did the announcers get replaced with Jim Ross and Chris Osgood with Vader when I wasn't looking?

it was Richards who took the shot, how does a fan of the team get the player wrong in the title?

Not tonight, but I would be a "jerk" to rub it in.

Detroit is still the superior team. They're superior to 26 or 27 of the teams in the league. It's a nice boost to a struggling team. They're problem is they lose or win in OT to the team they are in a dog fight in.

The only thing that annoyed me was the ridiculous premise. He had his lip split open. It hurts ... like hell.

Yeah.

Reminded me of the Nabakov save on Richards in the 1st, ?, OT period of that epic Game 6. That save was way more amazing though.

No seriously. Richards was like 5 feet in front of the net. I actually like the Red Wings and hate the Sharks. It was an unbelievable save. I'm glad he saved it though.

Morrow scoring that OT winner was classic and one of my favorite moments as a Stars fan.

My first thought was "Richards robbed again from the same side"

The Nabakov one was better. Especially considering the circumstances.

Seriously, I can't believe the Wings got a point out of the game. I can't believe the Wings only lost by a goal either. I can't remember a single time - even this season - where they looked like a peewee team for 90% of the game. Literally, there weren't really make a whole lot of mistakes, they just looked entirely inferior to the Stars.

The other great thing from last year was that win in Game 5 at Detroit. Turco is so pathetic against the Wings that 1 win in Detroit is a highlight of the entire playoffs for the Stars.

It's so sad but so true. I actually felt somewhat happy with the series even though they loss. I though Turco might have gotten the Detroit monkey off his back. That was until he started this year with the "allowing soft goals over and over again" monkey.

What happened to Rafalski?

They said he only played 3 shifts in the 2nd.

Agreed.

Ott's game tying goal was reminiscent of the series clincher vs. San Jose last year as well, only, obviously, not nearly as exciting!

Great game tonight, it's a shame a few Wings fans in this thread (present company excluded) feel the need to continue boasting and ripping on inferior teams, as if losing gracefully wasn't an option.

And don't look now, but Reaugh said Modano's gone something like 9 games vs. Detroit without recording a single point. Misery loves company, I guess.

My opinion on this:

1. Dallas came out completely fired-up and played like it was game 7 of the stanley cup finals.

2. Detroit is in the first game of a 4-in-6 nights road trip, and two of those games are against Anaheim and San Jose. Given that Dallas is almost a nonentity in the west at this point, Detroit probably didn't even care to try.

Dallas wanted it more, and props to them, but a team doesn't come out and play this poorly without reason. Especially after winning 6 games in a row in dominating fashion.

No idea. He was gone for the ENTIRE 2nd period, and then randomly showed up for the 3rd. Maybe he had the flu. No idea really, but we could've used him instead of Sammy and Lebda on the point on some of those PPs. Yikes.
