Games that generate the most/least viewers?

I don't have any statistics in hand, but this is what I think.

Most viewed

East - Any combination of Montreal, Toronto and Bruins

West - Any combination of Detroit, Calgary, Colorado and Chicago, but I'd personally go with Detroit/Chicago

League - Not sure at all. But, I'd have to go with Colorado at Montreal (nordiques/habs rivalry)

Least viewed

East - Any combo of Tampa, Florida, Atlanta

West - Anything starting with Phoenix

League - Atlanta at Phoenix?

Again, personal opinion, wish I had real numbers.

Atlanta vs. Phoenix sounds like a really bad draw. So does Phoenix vs. the Islanders. The strange thing about the Coyotes is that they are current in line to make the playoffs, while most of the other bad draw teams are bottom feeders.

No one cares in both Mtl and Denver that there was once a rivalry betwwen Mtl and Québec.

Mtl vs Toronto would be the answer I guess.

Most Viewed: Montreal vs Toronto. Duh.

Least Viewed: Non-Traditional Market A vs Non-Traditional Market B

There ya go. Insert A and B based on whichever two are the worst in a given year for maximum effect.

Says the guy who's team is second last in goals for in the west. Next to Minnesota that is.

That being said.

Least Viewed

West - Phoenix - Nashville?

East - NYI - Atlanta

League - Phoenix - Atlanta.

Most viewed

West - Detroit - Chicago would be well viewed since people in Chicago care about hockey again.

East - Toronto - NYR - Large loyal fan bases.

Philly VS Pitts are always entertaining because the two just hate each other.

Errr Minny VS Isles sounds kinda boring to me.

To give you an idea, here are some rough average numbers.

These are regional audiences;

1)Montreal 640,000
2)Leafs 410,000
3)Canucks 300,000
4)Oilers 115,000
5)Flames 115,000
6)Ottawa 100,000
7)Rangers 35,000
8)Ducks 16,000
9)Isles 7,000

These numbers can change quite a bit from year to year. I got the info from previous articles.

I imagine Toronto/Montreal would always be the highest draw unless we are talking about playoff's.

Canucks/Ducks series from a couple years ago generated 2 million viewers for game 3 to give you an idea. I think there were 5 million viewers for game 7 in 94 Canucks/Rangers final.

Those don't look right to me at all but I know nothing on the subject.
