Rangers fans in FL? Feb 13th @ Panthers

Hey, anyone on here live in Florida plan on going to the Rangers/Panthers game on Feb. 13th in Sunrise? Anyplace Rangers fans normally hang out for dinner before or after the game? I think I'm gonna buy some tickets for the game and make the trip down from Orlando since I missed the only trip to Tampa this year because the timing was bad timing between my work and the holiday it was on.

I'm not from Fla. but do you get all the Rangers games down there? Do you have something like NHL Center Ice or NHL Ticket? If you do not. Do you know if it's offered in Fla?

yeah i have Center Ice on Direct TV. Watch 90% of games on MSG unless they are on Versus, NHL Network, or like msg2 which i don't get than I watch on whatever channel they put it on which is usually in the 770's.

I have a cousin who lives down in Florida who is a big Panthers fan, and he told me the amount of Ranger fans that come to that building is amazing. He said "There were boos for a Panthers goal". I'm not sure how true that statement is, but bottom line is you wont be alone

i live in jersey but i also have a place in the greater west palm beach area. i have a place in the green acres section. i just got home soo i wont be going but i guess u can consider me a fan from florida also lolol....

DEFINITELY GO TO THE FORT LAUDERDALE AREA FOR THE GAME...its close to sunrise, the bars (LIKE THE ROCK BAR ON THE STRIP) will have the game on and its party central afterwards. sunrise is like a morgue so stay away to go ft lauderdale its like 10 min from sunrise

IM WARNING U:

orlando is VERY far from sunrise so try to fly into ft lauderdale or west palm intl airport area(s)

Yep, it's true. It's not uncommon for the Ranger fans to outnumber the Panthers fans.

Are you sure those weren't Boooooooo-th's for David Booth?? LoL...they love that kid down there, and for good reason.

I went to one Rangers Panthers game while I was in Florida for 9 months and it was amazing how many Rangers fans were there. I thought I was at the Garden.

We would go outside on the decks located right in the hallways for smokes in between periods and it was nuts lol.

People were meowing at the Panthers fans and giving them a hard time lol

yeah, it takes me about 2 1/2 to 3 hours to get there. I'm actually in Kissimmee a couple miles off the Turnpike. I usually make the drive a couple times a year to see the Mets play the Marlins too.

I plan on making the trip one year. Figure that they always play the Panthers and Lightning back to back. A Mid-winter Florida trip would be awesome.

Well ordered my tickets now on StubHub. WCI Communities Private Club 306 Row 1. $120 each.

Should be fun. I have started only buying tickets that come with parking passes. I went to a Tampa Rays playoff game and got front row outfield tickets that came with a parking pass as a surprise. I got there and it was the first lot closest to the stadium. Makes the experience that much easier and gives you better peace of mind with your car.

I plan on being there. Only missed 2 Ranger games here since I moved here in '02. yes its mostly Ranger fans, and the panther fans are more vocal during this game than they are for all the other games combined. Can't really say where the ranger fans hang out, but the sawgrass mills mall is directly across the street. In what they call "the oasis" there are resturants and places to get drinks. You can park there then walk across the street for the game, I always park there, just easier. For after game entertainment you can always hit up the hard rock, there plenty of bars, clubs, plus the casino if you feel like gambling, or head to FT Lauderdale. The game is on a friday night so there will be things to do.

the sawgrass mall is awesome because its kind of shaped like an alligator. but regardless the sunrise area is local to ft lauderdale and west palm which r both party spots
