Zherdev just hurt my brain. I had a flash back of Kovalev doing that about 3 or 4 times a game playing in NY.

5-2 Isles if Lundqvist isn't being Lundqvist tonight.

The Naslund Dubinsky Zherdev line still stands to be the best line this team has fielded all season, and I still feel Gomez and Drury work well together. Third line could be an issue, I don't trust Korpedo with the defensive responsibilities of a center, and would much rather him on the first line using his speed with Gomez, but then we lack a third line center, and I really don't think it would be fair to send anyone down to Hartford to bring up Anisimov.
agreed

No way do we deserve the lead but we'll take it.

The same things that we didnt do in the 1st have more or less carried over to the 2nd.
I guess it wont change for the 3rd so I'll just hope that Henrik stays sharp.

We were a little better in the 2nd but still not close to where we should be, especially against a team as pathetic as the Islanders. But right now, the most important thing is finding a way to secure the two points. Then we can address our overall level of play for games down the road.

Yeah. Chara can probably take on our entire defensive corps at the same time and still win

Still a horrible game considering the opponent.
Let them win it 6-1, then it will mean something.
Wasn't Montreal down to them 4-1 at one point in the season. They still came back to win, but goes to show the Islanders aren't a complete pushover.

Does Gordon always wear that tie? He's always wearing the tie with his team's color.

It wouldn't surprise me if that Wong dope made him do that.
