I was watching some old Montreal games and it got me thinking.. do you think Montreal would of won the series, maybe the cup had Koivu not had the freak injury against the Canes?
I always thought if we would have beat the Canes in 06 or Tampa in 04 we would have gone all the way to the cup. Call me a homer but those two times it felt like the Habs were a team of destiny. I recall one particularly mistake in both series that will give me nightmares forever.

In 2006, I felt we had a pretty strong team! We might have gone all the way to the cup! God damn Willams, that ********!
But in 2004, Tampa DESTROYED us in 4 games! We had absolutly no chance given the lineup we iced and the one they iced!

Beating the Bruins was unexpected. I felt we could do anything from then on. And every games against Tampa was not easy for them, even if it looks bad. I will always remember whathisname not clearing the puck....
Wasn't the overtime goal in game 3 by Staal on a 5-on-3 with Souray breaking his stick at the same time? Such ****ing ********. I hate thinking about that series. 20 minutes away from a guaranteed win.
Game 3 finished in a horrible way,Souray and Huet screwed up for the game tying goal. That game should have ended 1-0 or 2-0 instead they came back and win 4 strait.

My first ever hockey game was at the forum against the Whalers in 1986 Vive les Whalers don't know why but I always liked them until they moved to Carolina
IMHO, Buffalo was the best team in the year that year and I don't think Montreal would have gotten past them. Carolina was insanely lucky they did, but then again, that was par for the course.
Carolina always have a golden horse shoe up their a**es everytime they play us. We have the sh**iest luck anytime we play Caroline regular season or playoffs, can't friggin' explain it...
Williams should have got 5 mins for high sticking, 5 mins for intent to injure, 10 mins misconduct and a game misconduct, a trip to the NHL and a full year suspension.

I'm not sure if it was 5 on 4 or 5 on 3, but the call on Plekanec was a load of horse****.
The habs got a dbl minor for high-sticking JUST after the missed call on Koivu. That's when Carolina scored the tying goal.We are talking about 8 minutes of a game that were affected by these imbecile and clueless refs...
To me , that was the turning point....
Still really get,s my blood flowing when i think back about it ...
I swear, if I ever come across this Denis LaRue guy ..... I'll definitely let him know what I think. I hate him more then Fraser
I hate Carolina. Playoff in (2002 I believe). We have just upset Boston, we are winning 2-1 the series against Carolina I believe and are about to make it 3-1, when Kerry Fraser calls a bench misconduct that totally changes the series once again....(Feel free to correct me on the facts, I'm about only sure about Fraser ruining that year)
I was mad pissed and I'm still pissed. Ten years from now, I won't remember why, but I will still hate Carolina and surely, Justin Williams. I laughed when I heard he was injured for many months and was heartily happy.
I was even happy when he got destroyed on a hit and a fight with a Bruin player lately.
