This trade isnt THAT minor. Skinner has been the first injury call up on defense...

Regardless, it's still a minor trade that involved a player management deemed expendable.

We could always bring up Wotton if worst comes to worse. Granted, at 32 years old he won't exactly be Snow's first choice, but the option is there if need be.

Do u know anything about Mark Wotton whatsoever?
He is the 6th Dman on Bport.Kohn ,Fraser or Macdonald while not ready are better options then Won-ton.

Then there is Hillen who couldn`t play Defense for a junior bantam team. His offense is at a NHL level but his D is at a 3rd grade level.

Lol, not really. I just saw that he had the C at Bridgeport and figured he was one of those fringers who never quite made it over that bump. I'm sorry that I seem to have offended you so badly

Botta had a funny take on the trade...

The Phone Call

Don Waddell: Hey Snowy. So here’s what I’m thinking. We send you Kovalchuk, Colby Armstrong and our 2009 third round pick for your first rounder in ‘09, Kyle Okposo and Chris Campoli. What do you think?

Garth Snow: Hmm…How about we give you Brett Skinner for Junior Lessard?

Waddell: Deal.

Uh oh...is this the "feeler" trade before they ship the #1 pick to Atlanta for an unhappy Kovalchuk?

I believe Wotton is under contract with Bridgeport. He'd have to sign a contract with the Isles.
