I might just be totally unaware of something here, but have the Rangers quit wearing their third jersey (the navy blue Statue of Liberty one) forever? I don't remember seeing it last year or this year. While the two main jerseys are the best, I always thought the third jersey was pretty sharp.
Anyone who knows anything about this please enlighten me. Thanks.
I liked the white liberty too..I've got a Richter jersey in my closet. I didn't mind either of them actually and I'd like to see them bring in a new third, but maybe go in a different direction - something like the Ferguson-era unis that they wore a few times in 2004?
IF we get a 3rd jersey im assuming we get it back next year.
I wish I saved the email, but I emailed Sam Weinman around thanksgiving time when all the third jerseys were coming out, and he said he hasn't heard anything, but doubts the third jersey will be back next season.
The fact that people on this board actually like the liberty logo says everything you need to know about the majority of people who post on here.
What a disgrace of a logo and jersey.
Simply embarassing and disgusting.
If the Rangers have ANY alternate it should be the retro jersey with the Rangers logo on it. Other than that no thanks.
Yes I understand this is all subjective. But still. Anyone who likes the old thirds is blind.
No, it's not a disgrace. I thought their old third jersey was sharp, but I still feel that the classic home and away jerseys are the best. They have deep tradition and they look great, as they have for years.
The third jersey in no way takes away from that tradition. That's why it's a third jersey, not a primary jersey. It's cool to see it worn occasionally. I do also think that a retro jersey with the Rangers shield logo on it would be cool.
For you to imply that the people who like the third jersey are ignorant fans with no sense of the Rangers' deep history and tradition is truly ignorant in its own right.
The white third before the lockout was awesome to see at every 5th home game or so, it was so sleek but good looking as well. It was sharp, yet simple I think it really captured the image and feel of the city.
