lol this is true, not many fringe NHLers inspire a locker room. He is a dreadful 44% on draws too.

Few questions

1) Has Hall REALLY been missed?
-I thought we found good 3rd/4th line replacements?

2) Is Zigmantis coming back...what is his status...and how badly has he been missed during this slump?

Anyone remember the goal he scored in the finals for us? Yeap, pretty big.

He always managed to get the most unothodox goals. That empty netter that pinballed off of at least two boards before finding the cage, chipping the puck off of Osgood's ass, I'm sure there's more I'm forgetting.

That being said, there are better versions of Adam Hall out there. But this is Tampa so we could probably just get him for free. Sweet.

I'm confused. Why would Tampa get rid of one of their cheapest players if they trying to dump salary?

I would welcome Hall back no problem.
He played very well for us in the playoffs, he was pretty good on the PK and his addition would mean that others can be traded.

no to this, we have enough low line players as it is... we need to get rid of some of our "top" line players who are making more than they should and get someone solid in exchange

Hall? Thats stupid

Now, Evgeny A. from TBL is smart.

Dupuis for Artyukhin?

We get rid of 450,000 in cap and get a guy who can hit.

Why not just trade others and get what we need, instead of going retro?

Would just be a depth move in case we have more injuries as we have no need of more D depth and Eaton is useless anyway. Would move Eaton for Hall in a heartbeat, but not for a pick. We need to get whatever we can for Eaton while he's still worth something, but we also can't afford to trade away more picks. And agree that Hall wouldn't really change our game up here. Just depth for the 4th line, nothing more.

QFT. That's one of the few guys I would trade Dupuis for ... at his level. R2 is a beast on the boards and did you see what he did to the young d-man in Los Angeles last night

I don't see what we'd need Hall for. We're drowning in 4th line forwards as it is already.

Yeah in Juniors he was, but in the AHL and NHL he has been a winger for the most part besides a few stints here and there. Even he has said that it was weird to play center again and that he remembers the role a center plays and what not. Not sure if I can remember his faceoff % though.

I would rather keep TK on the right wing, he's much more effective there. There is no rule that says wingers can't take the faceoff, TK can take it and then switch back to rw right away after he wins. If you assemble a line in the bottom 6 that has Talbot with Jeffrey and then Staal with Kennedy you have a 50+ % faceoff winner on both lines just in case.

Also people sort of miss the point with Tampa.

They are losing a lot of money as well, not as bad as Phoenix but it's getting there. At this point they are probably looking at shedding salary not gaining more of it. Unless the Pens are taking someone of equal value to Eaton's deal to make it a lateral move for them, I don't see Eaton for Hall going down at all.

Like this team needs more bottom 6 players? If the Pens trade with Tampa, I'd rather they plucked Szczechura or Craig, both centers and both guys that can play the bottom 6 energy role and can do more than what Hall can. If it is a bottom 6 Shero wants, cap wise, I don't know who they'd want...Halpern for Eaton? both are 2m cap hits.

Even better would be Craig/Jokinen + Artyukhin for Eaton + 3rd. You add a gritty beast of a right winger and a center that is ok on the draw.

Halpern - 58%
Craig - 43%
Jokinen - 52% - A guy I wanted on the team but not sure if anyone else is open to him. He can play wing and center and is a 50+ percent guy at the draw

It would be an upgrade...

Jeffrey - 40%
Malkin - 41%
Staal - 47%
Crosby - 49%
Talbot - 53%
Taffe - 52%
Kennedy - 51%

Bruce Garrioch brings up the rumor again today...

"The Bolts are expected to send RW Adam Hall back to the Penguins for a draft pick."
http://www.ottawasun.com/Sports/Colu...59976-sun.html

Cap space must very tight after the Garon trade....

I'm against this move no matter what the draft pick is...7th rounder in 2012 or whatever, it's still not something we need desperately.

I'd make the trade for Roberts to sit on the bench and stare down the other team. That's more then we get from Eaton, at any rate.

Same here. I don't mind having him back, but only if we're sending more salary the other way. Not for a pick. Our AHL guys can do his job.

Shero is likely looking for someone that can sufficiently fill Zigomanis' role as 4th line center and faceoff specialist. Personally I don't think it's necessary trade considering the fact that Dustin Jeffrey could easily fill this role and we wouldn't have to deal anyone away either.

Just seems kinda funny to trade for a guy that we just had, but weren't willing to hold onto last Summer anyways.

I like having a bunch of those guys. They're great for being interchangeable because they're hard workers. I don't know why we didn't re-sign Hall in the first place.
