Malkin giving up the 2 on 1 with Staal in 3rd to avoid a hit was beautiful. He gave up a 2 on 1 against a forward and he let the play go offsides.
Ovechkin = Badass.
I made this point repeatedly on the main board. Malkin took a dumb penalty trying to prove a point to Ovechkin, and then heard footsteps on the rush, blowing a scoring chance.
i love that they had no idea what to do with him. they didn't even realize he stole two of their players. silly pens fans...
I loved how he poked his head in, looked around and left without a word! I'd bet half of them don't even know who Lloyd is!

Last night was a good one for Ovie and I'm glad Semin scored too, especially after they made a big to-do over his comments.
Now they just need to do that at Verizon Center. That way we can be the ones to run over to the steps of the Art Gallery and chant like they do and put it on youtube. And if someone can get a terrible towel, I know several people who'd be more than happy to light it on fire like they did to the Caps towel.

I don't think there is nearly as much trust there with Crosby as we have hear with Ovechkin.
Desperate times, desperate rookie/bandwagon posters? I don't know who said that but it's pretty likely they have about 23 posts.
Crosby has battled nagging injuries all year, and couldn't train properly in the off-season thanks to his ankle. He dominated the Flyers the night before but has been slumping for over a month.
Also, Ovechkin had a good game and yeah, your team is in my head.
And that's why I can't help but chuckle at these Pens fans these days. Here they are, the Steel City, home of the Pittsburgh Steelers, a gritty, blue collar town and they have somehow ended up having to support the Dallas Cowboys of the NHL, led by Sydney Romo. And they have to convince themselves that they hate someone like Ovechkin who fits PERFECTLY with the ethos of that town -- never lets up, physical as hell, plays through anything.
And you sir just hit the nail on the head of why I'm on cloud 9 the past few years. My hockey team is becoming my football team.
Many of my comebacks to those whiners is about what an embarassment I feel to call them from the 'burgh or to respond with Hines Ward, Joey Porter or Troy Polamalu, etc.
And yes I understand that many of you hate me for being a steelers and yankee fan. OT but I do hope baseball gets a cap. I haven't watched seriously since 2001.

If you would stop mentioning it, I would stop having the urge to spit on you.

For whatever reason, I am able to make a complete break between the Pens and the Steelers. Not a Steelers fan, but I've never disliked them, and I often pull for them in the playoffs, especially over teams like New England.
I think being a Redskins fan makes most AFC teams sort of innocuous.

I really don't hate the Steelers either. Honestly it's the fans that make me want to root against them more than anything. I've always like Ward and Big Ben.
i think Strung should post the Lloyd picture in every opposition game day thread before the start of the game. get in their heads before they even have a CHANCE to know whats going on.

Yeah more trolling from other teams fans is never annoying, we haven't been getting enough of that lately.

Fedorov hit Letang in the ankle with a slap shot. He was the guy that was flopping around on the ice worse than Scuderi. He returned, but it must have swelled significantly after the game
Looks like 4 Pens are missing from the lineup after the Caps game.
Scuderi - Mike Green puck in the face.
Crosby - foot pinched along the boards, Ovie rough hit, and Kozlov taking his legs out accidentally causing him to land on his tailbone
Talbot - Got his legs tangled up akwardly with Ovie (?)
Letang - Don't remember anything from the game - might be sick or something.
The Pens are really in a bad place after that game (they just had gotten hope the night before too).
Letang took a Feds slapper on the ankle. Looked like got shot, and looked painful. He returned, but I imagine it swelled like hell when he took his skate off.
Talbot had an upper body injury I heard. So I doubt it was tangling with Ovie.
