I can't believe they called up helmer. He's so useless but I guess BB wants someone who won make any more mental errors. Just physical ones.

He probably wants more of a veteran for this game.

I think Helmer is better then Sloan and Collins.

Good luck tonight, guys. I will definitely be watching. Two of my favorite players in the world going head to head: Malkin v. Ovechkin with a side of Semin v. Crosby and Green v. Goligoski? for Dessert.

So Mo is hurt down low. At least we have the right left balance i am always preaching.

I have a feeling tonight may get a little ugly. At least hoping. The lack of effort snoozers of late and no sore losers gets boring to watch at times, even with Ovi and the danglers.

Hits of the week to fill the 730 void

What do you really think ?! Helmer is ok in spurts (as long as the line that he matches up against isn't noted for speed.) He'll be ok, and like someone posted earlier his veteran presence might be useful in this one. Go Caps!

As fun as it was seeing Semin going oingo boingo, I don't see him faring well in future tilts. I hope the big boys step in for him tonight if need be. At least until he finishes up his bongo i mean boxing lessons.

Doh!

Didn't really think about it, but the gamecenter feed is the home-team feed. Gotta listen to Steigy and Errey.

At least it will be interesting to hear them bash on the caps.

Looks like they are gonna beat that dead horse to death.

The horse being Semin's remarks regarding crosby... it's on everywhere, caps game, pens game and all NHL sites... hah

The caps feed is a bit less quality but seems to choke up a lot less too... everyone tuned in for this game that's why.

Yeah, but I paid for this one. I also like hearing how other announcers treat the caps.

Good chances at both ends on the first shift.

Think if we ask nicely they could move the camera back farther?

A 2-on-1 and a breakaway given up in the first minute and a half. Awesome.
