Naw. Trading the players straight up is fair. The Stars aren't that desperate for a right shot.

Anyway, it would never happen because, as already mentioned, Morrow and Ribeiro have an instinctive chemistry and produce 1st-line points.

Your original suggestion that Dallas would hang up the phone if Buffalo came offering Pommers for Ribeiro is silly.

That was Addiction not Caseman and your suggestion that Dallas would probably make that trade AND add a 3rd round pick is silly. Ribeiro for Pominville straight up is a fair deal. Dallas would never do it though because it guts them at center for the future as Modano is not going to be around much longer.

I suggested this trade on the Jason Pominville thread... thanks for stealing it jk

I support this trade hands down.
Dallas gets a right hand shot winger
Pommer is better defensively and would make a good addition on the PK
He can rack up 70-80 pts.
And his contract (in the summer) is identical to Ribeiro's.

Pommer for Ribs straight up...

Do you even understand the impact Ribeiro has had on Morrow? He has made Morrow even a better player than he was before Ribeiro came here. The only way Dallas moves a piece of the puzzle like Ribs is for big overpayment and Pominville is not an overpayment.

I'd definetley do this. Maybe we trade Pommer + Zagrapan for Ribiero?

Edit: Isn't Morrow out for the rest of the year?

Yes but Stars plan on playing hockey next season too

Seriously though, Morrow and Ribs are both locked up through 2012-2013 I can't imagine that was by luck considering they are the only ones locked up that long.

Sabres fans: really??

This doesn't do it for me. All Ribeiro would be is a defensively-poorer version of Roy.

I don't like.
