OT: Pictures from inside Montreal Forum?

Last winter, I came across a website of a guy who had toured a lot of famous baseball and hockey arenas and posted lots of detailed wide-angle pictures of his tours of the buildings. Among them was the Montreal Forum circa 1995. The pictures were very good at suggesting the layout of the building and the seating sections. I can't find it anymore via Google and the keywords I remembered from the texts, so perhaps he pulled his stuff offline.

Can anyone point me to pictures from inside the Montreal Forum in its glory days? I've found surprisingly little pictures via Google, and most of them photograph actions on the ice rather than the building itself. Thanks.

I don't know if that's the website you are talking about, but here you'll find a LOT of great pictures of the Forum, and many classic stadiums and arenas (Chicago stadium, Boston Garden, Leaf Gardens...).

I've never been to the Forum, so it's nice to have a glimpse of what it was looking like.

In a perfect world, this is where the Hockey Hall of Fame should be

I feel very fortunate that I was able to visit the Forum on 3 occasions (seeing 2 games there). That building was the best.

Is it me or the bell center is very well lit? It seems very bright, you can see the spectactors.. while at the forum and other arena, it seems very dark.

I find all the newer arenas to be much brighter than the older ones. Its not just you.

I was to a game there as a kid, not sure of the year, but i do remember it was Toronto and Montreal. Montreal won 4-0, Guy Lafleur had the hat trick

If you're using Firefox on Windows, Right Click, and View Page Info. On the media tab, somewhere on the list, you got the picture.

That link is incredible, I basically grew up in that building. RUSH is a nice choice in music by the Blogger for the slide show, must have seen them in concert at the Forum at least 6 times.

Yes, all of the new Mega Arenas are brighter. However, to Montreal's credit, the Bell Centre is less bright than most. Living in Philly, I have been to the Wachovia Center a million times, and it is a lot more bright than Montreal or Toronto, which stinks. The light should focus all of your attention on the ice and the players... I love the dimness in the stands.

It's too bad the Forum can no longer host a game as it could have been a big plus towards the cenntenial. Play a game there on the Habs 100th birthday in December.
