Miss Goalie Fights

Roy vs Vernon, Emery smiling during his fight, Hextall

I miss seeing goalies skating full speed to center ice to drop gloves why does this not happen anymore? The type of Rivalry Det and Col had was awesome why does it seem like rivalries have died off? Do some players not want to rish their future in the heat of battle to fight? I realize goalies are very protected so for them to drop the goalies and fight wouldnt make sense since they have been wanting more protection?

It'd be nice to see Marty knock out a couple of those perfect teeth in MAF's mouth tonight...

Marty tried to fight another goalie once. Let's just say I don't think he'll try it again.

He fought a trained fighter who would be an enforcer on most teams. It wasn't necessarily a goalie fight. Didn't Emery beat up Gratton in the minors?

The Emery fight was awesome. I really wish that he didn't go to Europe to play, I liked to watch him.

goalies fights usually come as part as full line brawls. And those rarely happen, the last time i saw two fights at a time, the refs tossed the 2nd set of guys. Not alot of goalies in the league function on raw emotion anymore, it's not condusive to the under control butterfly style.

Has anyone seen Chara fight a big guy? He throws a punch then drags them to the ground. For someone of his size he is an incredibly bad fighter.

Before I opened the thread and actually read it, I was wondering exactly who Miss Goalie was and why would she be fighting.

Heh, I keep thinking the same thing every time I look at the title. Or Miss Goalie Fights, kind of like Miss America.

i just wanna see canon pound on the crybaby. i know thier friends and all but its just too good not to think about. captain vs captain skill player vs skill player rival vs rival. hard work vs entitlement "the next gretzky" vs "the modern messier"

talk all you want about the "staged fight" that would be the highlite of the regular season to me. maybe at the winter classic?

Biron and Emery fought each other, kind of. Biron was only challenging Emery because of the Drury hit. He got handled pretty badly, but his effort was beyond commendable.

Biron is a character. I miss him.
