I don't see why the Ducks would want Kotalik and I don't see why the Sabres would want Marchant.

Brewer and Woywitka for Pronger? That could happen right?

Sure he is. History has shown that there is no guarantee he won't demand a trade at the end of the season. A team trading for him will recognize that and the Ducks who are trying to deal him will have to accept a somewhat lesser deal because of it.

To DET: D Chris Pronger (1 more year @ 6.25M)
To ANA: D Niklas Kronwall (3 more years @ 3M) + C Valtteri Filppula (4 more years @ 3M)

Detroit gets a scary top 4 defense. Anaheim gets a solid two-way defenseman who can play on the top pair and anchor a corp that has everyone up for free agency plus a young two-way center for their second line. You like?

Did I miss something? Might be a little drunk but when did Lupul go back to Edmonton?

I could see Boston having solid interest to put them over the top, the problem is what do they give up without affecting their current roster too much while making the cap still work for both teams...

Attractable offer from both sides, but to be honest I'd rather keep Kronwall and Filppula

Pronger to Vancouver would put them among the top teams in the playoffs, but the return would be hefty regardless, you can bet on Hodgson, a 1st, plus a decent roster player.

Hmm, no.

Besides, Pronger is not the type of player that fits in Detroit, he does not have enough speed, he's just a better version of Derian Hatcher that does real well on the PP.

Mtl should make a stab. Especially if they can't get Vinny. Maybe give up Subban and Max P. Or Subban and a their first. Not a Mtl fan but this would sure make them a cup contender. Imagine Markov/Prongy, Hamirlik/Komo as a top 4.

I'd be pissed if Pronger was traded before Carlyle gets the boot. When this team plays hard we can still give any team in the league a very tough time but Carlyle isn't getting the job done.

Pronger is the type of guy you should try to extend, not trade away.

It's funny how it seems that since Burke left, Ducks have been getting much less fighting majors, especially in the last 10 or so games. Or so it seems, don't have the stats atm.

Our defense would look downright scary if Pronger left, and I mean that as Mike Ricci -scary.

I think Anaheim could get a better return than Kotalik and Tallinder.

i saw watters and kypreos talking about trading pronger while showing niedermeyer as a ufa to be. i am sure pronger is worth more, but if one goes, both go. that would make for an interesting trade deadline for sure.

as for who gets him. pronger goes to the east. think flyers first, washington and boston doing whatever is reasonable to keep him away from philadelphia. the question is would the flyers do something unreasonable to land him? yes.

as a caps watcher, i know the caps are three or four levels deep in nhl capable prospects. if they can create the caps space by moving nylander they would have the kind of package that the ducks would want for a rebuild.

question is does pronger make the caps a legit contender for the eastern conference championship? pronger about locks boston in. makes the flyers pretty tough if they dont do something stupid in the trade.

Rangers, better start with Dubinsky, no we are not taking Redden either

Well from the Habs you won't even get Markov for Pronger let alone add a good young center and Subban. If were trading for Pronger we not downgrading by trading Markov.
