KEYS TO WINNING THE GAME:
ELLIOTT PLAYS WELL AGAIN
Brian Elliott has taken the #1 job with 3 great starts. We will be facing a high-powered offense tonight, and he will need to play well for us to win.
OUTPLAY THE CANADIENS ON EVEN STRENGTH
Often times this season, the Sens have been terrible on even strength. We will need to be strong in this area the most tonight.
EVERYONE OUTWORKS AND OUTPLAYS OPPOSITION FOR THE ENTIRE GAME
This is how this team needs to win: Work hard for the entire game. Everyone needs to show up; One of Heatley/Spezza/Alfredsson/Elliott can't carry this team every day.
Ottawa's Key Players:
JASON SPEZZA (36 pts in 42 games)
FILIP KUBA (24 pts in 34 games)
DANIEL ALFREDSSON (39 pts in 41 games)
Montreal's Key Players:
ANDREI MARKOV (34 pts in 43 games)
CAREY PRICE (16-4-5, 2.30 GAA, .921 sv%)
ANDREI KOSTITSYN - MONTREAL CANADIENS (8 pts in last 5 games)
I don't see it on NHL center ice anywhere tonight.....What channel might it be on here in the US? What is NHL-N? Anyone?
The national HNIC games have not been shown on US Center Ice all year because NHL Network US has picked up these broadcasts. So if you're like me and your market doesn't get NHL Network, no HNIC all year!
As for the game, I'll just be honest, I want the Sens to win. It would be huge for their morale if they did.
NHL Network simulcasts the CBC feed of HNIC (with the exception of when the World Jrs was on, they played that instead).
So for those in the US, you'd need to get that channel (it's separate from the Centre Ice package, both satellite providers have it in both SD and HD format now... not sure about cable options) in order to see tonight's game.
I'm not sure if Express-Vu carries NHLNHD yet or not, but I guess that's moot since it will be on CBCHD.
It's gonna be a tough game tonight, the sens to win needs to play a "crash n bang" style of game. Elliott will need to be the first star of the game for the sens to have any chance of winning. GO SENS GO
