No way! That's hilarious!

Wasn't he planned to start for the Isles the rest of the year?

Wow. What kind of move is that. Way to kick a team while they're down.

Since he was playing in Europe with an NHL release clause, he has to go through waivers in order to come back.

They did, but he had to clear waivers in order to play for the Isles. I'd have thought teams would have some respect.

They did but since he played in Europe during this season he has to pass through waivers first. Columbus claimed him off of said waivers.

Leclaire, despite injury, is still rumored to be headed to Ottawa.

In any case, the CBJ needs a backup goalie, as Norrena is gone and Dan LaCosta isn't going to cut it behind Mason. Why we didn't claim Sanford, I don't know.

If you play internationally, on your way back to the NHL you have to pass through waivers. This rule was created so teams couldn't hide players in Europe before bringing them over to the NHL when needed.

HILARIOUS.

Conspiracy theory time: on the Oilers board, local radio man Dan Tencer got a quote from Tambellini in which he said Dany Sabourin wasn't coming to Edmonton, and would leave either 'through trade or on waivers'.

Howson is Edmonton's ex A-GM.

I don't see how this helps Columbus...unless he gets sent down to Syracuse or something...

The Islanders are proving me wrong more and more each day when I silently laugh and call them a joke.

How much worse are they going to get?

Some Devils fans seemed fond of the CBJ last night.

We must be your favorite Western team now.
