I'll take MAF here, but it's pretty close.

Injuries aside: Lehtonen

As it stands now, MAF.

both are way too injury prone, but fleury is better.

2 injuries for Fleury makes him injury prone? His first one was just bad luck as he slipped. Fleury has proven he can stand on his head in the cup finals against a powerhouse Detroit team. Go watch game 5 from the finals and tell me how you can't vote Fleury...

I don't see how this should even be close. Fleury.

Fleury easily and it's not even close....not to mention he's already been to the cup finals and arguably the best goalie in the playoffs.

How can this be even close? Lehtonen has proven nothing over his career except that he is prone to injuries. MAF all the way.

Fleury and it isn't even close.

The jury is still out whether or not Lehtonen has what it takes to be a starter in the NHL. I question whether he has much of a future in ATL...

if you swapped both of them, the pens would still have gotten to the scf with a healthy lehtonen

if you watch both of them, lehtonen is far superior technically

the only reason to vote fleury is because of kari's injuries

?? uhh, no.

I question whether Lehtonen has the work ethic, conditioning, and mental makeup to handle the workload of a starting goaltender.

There's no doubt he has the skill and talent, but those other factors are just important. You can have all the god given talent in the world, but if you don't take conditioning or preparation seriously, you won't go too far in this league.

Really? This isn't even close. Fleury led a team to the Stanley Cup Finals and was the best goalie in the process.

I'll take the guy with the lower career GAA, the higher career save percentage, and the higher career ratio of wins to games played. It may surprise some people to find out that is Kari Lehtonen.

Probably Fleury. I would have said Lehtonen before last year. Still, I don't think that Fleury is very good. He was great in the playoffs though. Lehtonen has a better career SV% and GAA and he faces 40 quality shots per night on a bottom 5 team in the league. I just don't see a world of difference in them. Both are inconsistent. Only reason i'd take Fleury is because he isn't injury prone like Kari.

Lehtonen IMO....He is a great goalie on a completely horrid team. You stick him on most teams that can ice a good core of players and he will be successful. I am not saying he is as good as Luongo by any means but Lehtonen is similar in the case that the Islanders and Atlanta both suck. Fleury has the benefit of playing of a great team unlike Kari.
