Best Place To Get A Edge Player-Customized Sharks Jersey?

Do any of you know where the best place is to get a Sharks Edge Player-Customized Jersey? I was wondering if any of you knew of other good places (either online or in California) to pick up an authentic Sharks Edge jersey with customization.

I'm thinking about picking up a Joe Thornton jersey. The new Sharks third jerseys look extremely sharp, so I'll probably get a third.

NO!!! Do NOT get it it from NHL.com!!!

Do one of the two that DH suggested ... you could also try SportsK.com. They have some good prices and the quality is good.

As a FYI, NHL.com heat presses numbers now on customization for premiers. You have to go authentic to get patchwork. I found this out this year. But then I complained to NHL.com and got 30 percent off the customized Premier jerseys I bought so I made it worth my while.

But I'd go to a store and physically look at the jersey and/or its customization operations before purchasing, so you can ensure you get patchwork.

the BEST place to get a jersey customized is at sharksoutlet.com (hockey x sport in Oakland) I have gotten a Thornton (Road) and Boyle(Alternate) done there and they do great work on these jerseys.

Sharks store @ hp is ridiculously expensive, they take too long if you want to get the numbers and letters sewn on and if you do not do that you have to go heat press

NHL.com is the worst quality I have ever seen someone do on a jersey...

Note that the price you see FOR THE JERSEY on sharksoutlet.com will be reduced when you enter in the coupon code upon checkout, the price on the website says 99.99 reduced from 114.99 but you can get this down to 89.99 by entering in the code "Premier" when you check out and then you just add the tackle twill kit to your order, I think the cost of this is $75, pretty good deal and a very good price. If you live near Oakland as I do, it might just be worth going to the store and placing your order or checking out their stock.

I got my Boyle from Sharks Outlet and love it. The stitching is fantastic.

you can get the jersey from NHL.com, just don't get it lettered by them.

the problem is I don't know how easy after-market lettering is in the Bay Area. Here it's just a matter of taking it to a hockey shop, but there's like 5 hockey shops within an hour of me. That # would be far less in SJ, I imagine.

EDIT: You're in Ohio. I'd ask on the CBJ board about where you can get the jersey lettered. If there's nowhere good, go with icejerseys or rivercitysports.com

Just called up the Sharks outlet...they are out of the 46 edges with shoulder patches. They expect to get more in stock by next week...this is a good thing for me, because as a college student, this is quite an investment!

Now, what player to get...haha

Rather than start a new thread I hope you don't mind if I threadjack this one...

I want to get a couple all star jerseys customized but I'm told I need to provide my own patch for the shoulders. Anyone know where I can locate patches that size for both the new and old Sharks logo? Thanks.

Speaking of jerseys, are they sized the way t-shirts are?

The replicas, I believe, are similar t-shirt sizes. I wear a medium t-shirt and a medium replica at least...

Okay, so in the interest of fully researching things and narcissitically not trusting any post not directly related to my own, how would you rate the following places on quality of lettering? The price next to the store is what I calculated for an authentic personalized jersey plus shipping.

SportsK - 281.00
Sharks Store - 316.59 (includes STH discount)
CoolHockey.com - 322.00
SharksOutlet - 336.25
IceJerseys.com - 368.00

Thanks for you help.

I've used the Sharks Store on 3 occasions. As noted above, it's good but you have to wait and as I recall, it's $80 for the sewn on numbers and stuff and they take forever. You don't need to buy the jersey there.

As I recall, they send them out to Ducommon's (sp?) off of Alma which is a small mom/pop shop which probably explains why it takes so long. Similar pricing.

I got a #2 (bought at Ducommon's, last teal #2 in stock) signed by Boyle a couple weeks ago. I'll probalby have them do the rest of the stitching and numbering as I'll get a credit for buying the number. They do good work if you want support local businesses.

That sounds right, I was trying to remember the small place that my jersey from the store was sent to be lettered. I feel like I also remember hearing that they do some of the letter work for the Sharks themselves, and they definitely do good work. They do take a little while, but will also be responsive to anything special you want (and I recall actually getting them on the phone).
