What a joke, after the 2 games that Varly played for the Caps... I'm not a fan of Boudreau's team gestion lately.

Chances are he's not going to play. Varlamov will be able to start a couple of games in a row in Hershey.

In Bruce we trust.

Edit- Is Varlamov hurt?

Varlamov is injured and Neuvirth was called up to the Bears to replace him.

Would you rather Varlamov play in Hershey or sit on the bench in DC?

I wrote that because I didn't knew that he was injured.

Brent injured.

Gordon and Clark (sans visor) back in the lineup.

Steckel & Fehr sitting. (?)

Per Tarik.

A little disappointed that Steckel is coming out of the lineup with the return of Gordon. I like having both those guys in the lineup. Why can't we get rid of Nylander?

Nylander was excellent last game, why do you want to get rid of him?

Agreed. Didn't Steckel get the hard hat against the Bruins? Pretty surprising that he is the odd man out, but when you look at our depth at C, someone has to sit. Maybe he has been battling a minor injury or just could use a day off to rest. With the game he plays, it wouldn't be surprising if he is a little dinged up.

I can think of at least 4.5 million reasons.

They've got to get Gordon back in. Steckel may have been solid against the B's, but he was ABYSMAL in the Edmonton game. Gordon needs to get back in.

Caps just need to play a full 60 minutes today. They do that and should win. Plus it will be interesting to see how Clark performs after he was benched the last few games.

They can probably win against the NYI with a full 40 minutes. Isn't that what happened the last time they played?

Nylander will score three in your absense. OK, probably not. That would be cruel, I guess.

Salary Cap space. Frankly having him as poorly as he has produced has covered for Fedorov being out so long.

One game != the season.

(And not excellent - just didn't screw up as much as usual. Yes, we have high standards.)

As others have said, $$ too. Need to get rid of him in order to resign Backstrom and Semin, among others.
