Claude Lemieux Recalled By Sharks

Sharks reassigned forwards Brad Staubitz and Tom Cavanagh to the Worcester Sharks and called up Claude.

everyone, including his mom, didn't think he'd make it back to the NHL when he decided to give it one last shot at age 43...

I say congrats to him, he did it.

very impressive!

I hope his return doesnt have the same effect as Sundins did for Vancouver.

Count me in that group, I'm shocked he made it.

All the best to him for his perseverance.

No joke...that would've added spice to it. There was enough intrigue with it to begin with. Then again, it really wasn't that big of a deal whenever the Wings played the Stars or Coyotes when he was playing with them. It's not the same as when they played against him in an Avalanche uniform.

I knew he had put on some weight but having to send down two guys to bring him up? Wow.

I never thought I'd see my al-time favorite player again. I am now also a Sharks fan as long as he's in the lineup.

He's going to be a gem when the wings faceoff against the sharks in the playoffs.

Might be too old for a Conn Smythe, but I rather see a pest like Lemieux than Avery.

Lemieux

As a Wings fan I'm laughing my ass off. :l He wasn't good enough to stay in the league 5 and half years ago, so why would anyone think that he will have the speed to stay up with the play in the new NHL. He'll spend more time in the penality box than on the bench.

If I'm a Sharks fan, I am very worried that the the team had to bring up a 43 yr. has been to fill a hole on the big team. The only thing that says about the Sharks depth is that they don't have any.

If I'm a Wings fan, I'll be worried that my key players are going to learn what the boards taste like after their face is driven though the dasher.
