I believe that those three teams are the ones who are likely to be upset, and the ones that say cause are the ones who pull the upset off.

Coincidence that the only person not to pick the Flames as a team that can upset is an Oilers fan. I'd say that the Flames are the team that scares the elite teams most in the West for sure. Detroit wants nothing to do with them, Colorado has trouble with them and the Flames match up very well with the Canucks.

Flames, Preds & Habs are the teams that I would be worried about facing in the 1st round. Vancouver & Philadelphia are the teams most likely to be upset IMO.

Why? We have an extreamly strong team this year with Kozlov, Hrdina and Stevens all joining the lineup. Not to metion we may have three lines scoring for once.

Wah wah wah, an Oilers fan doesn't think my Flamers can make the second round!

It isn't too farfetched anyway, they haven't done it since 1989.

Never said it was farfetched, it's just humurous that Oilers fans can't even give the Flames the respect they deserve. The Flames clearly have a team built for an upset:

Great Coaching: Check - Sutter
Great Goaltending: Check - Kipper
Great Defence: Check - 5th best in NHL.
Superstar with timely goals: Check - Iginla
Toughness: Check (Oliwa, Simon, Regehr, Warrener, Clark, Iginla etc...)

I heard the funniest thing from an Oilers fan the other day. "If the Flames didn't have Kiprusoff, Iginla & Sutter, the Oilers would be better". That is priceless !

Take away a Vezina candidate, a Rocket-Richard/Hart candidate and a Jack Adams candidate from our team and now you are better. Wow, the Oilers are impressive !!

The team just seems much more inconsistent this year. Last year they didn't lose 3 in a row all season. During stretches of this year I was wondering where the team had gone. Unless something jumpstarts them (like the return of Scott Stevens hopefully) I think they are much more vunerable than last year.
