Staying in Montreal

Hey guys. I'm going to Montreal in March for a game, but I've never been there before. Any suggestions on where to stay and what bars to go to? Thanks for any helpful ideas!

if you're looking for a cheap room, I recommend the hostel that's about a block away from the Bell Centre. Pretty decent setup, clean and very cheap. You can probably find out the name at the hostelling international website.
